So I have been feeling shaky again. I don't know what triggered it. I started having crazy hair color changes and then today I ended up shaving head again. I'm upset with myself. It's as though my bpd has worsened with age instead of improved. I used to be able to grow my hair out but lately I ruin it before it gets the chance. I've fallen off the wagon again. I'm no longer on adderall and thought it would help my bpd to be off. I guess it makes little difference in bpd issues.

Borderline is a brutal diagnosis it can make you impulsive sadly. It is important you don't beat yourself up though. Try and view it through the same lens as maybe someone with epilepsy. That you have episodes and although you can do your best to mitigate some of it illness is an illness at the end of the day. Your hair is just a casualty of that. I understand you are upset but don't take it to a place where you are to blame. Wish things were not so hard on you. Please be gentle with yourself.

Sorry you're doing badly. I do this on purpose, it actually helps me feel better, something I can control. Have bpd also. I think bpd does get worse with age if don't get treatment of some sort. I wish better days for you.

Sorry to hear that you are going through another rough time. I can't really say anything to make you feel better ... I just understand that sometimes the bucket just overflows and you do stuff you might regret later on ask yourself "why did i go so far/do this or that".

i know that feeling!! i did the same during a bpd episode about 4 years ago and it still isnt completely back, and i routinely color my hair during bad spots. but it will come back, and you will get better, just give it some time. love and strength to you
Yes I have borderline personality disorder untreated. It's not easy to get treatment for this although there are more self help type things now than there was before.
