The thing is, you don't have to trust anyone if you don't need to. You don't need to trust your parents, you don't need to trust anyone of us. That is the beauty of this forum, you can talk to someone and you don't know who that person is. You tell whatever you want, no one is bullying you to tell more. Does this help?

I don't get what you're trying to convey - you're in a forum full of people who don't think suicide is automatically wrong. No one here knows your identity or whereabouts (unless you've chosen to tell someone). Many of us have fucked-up parents, suicidal parents, parents who have killed themselves and/or fucked us all the way up in various ways. Welcome?

Trust is just a word like so many others but it doesn't mean anything. In the end there are people who like you, those who don't, and the vast majority who just don't care.

So just stick with those who like you and never forget that nothing lasts, people change their mind....like you do.

My parents neglected and abused me as a child yet I am still afraid my suicide might cause severe damage to them.

Trust is earned as the saying goes. You can see someone's behavior and get a sense of whether they will end up trustworthy or not...but people who demand, expect, or think its given up front are confused. Same with love. Both are built from parts...not sold in a box fully assembled.

I basically just want to kill myself and know the means. I'm waiting, though, until some retirement funds come in next month. So, I am meanwhile just being a suicidal bitch, I think. Which is painful. Sorry, all about me right now.

Truth be told the socioeconomic class your in depends on how much you can trust others IMO.

Also those that use coercion of any form shouldn't be fully trusted. Except if they are grounded in reality and truth. You can tell that by the value they have to give to society. But even then the coercion shouldn't be in excess. Eg Jordan Peterson is a perfect example.

People help those that help themselves. Portray value and people will give you value. Portray weakness and people will ignore you, or take advantage of you. So it's up to you if you want to play the game of life. Now you know the main rules.

So from that you can tell who the trust and who not to.

Isn't that viewpoint complicated considerably by the fact that value and weakness are perceived in many different ways? As a teacher, I've been presenting both value and weakness, depending who's beholding.

Of course there are some exceptions to the rule, but ultimately and generally speaking I think what I said is pretty accurate.

Thank you. I'll openly admit that this particular thread is not helpful. I was in a bad headspace.

You are 100% on the mark when you say it's up to me. As for portraying what I value, I typically do. The anger I expressed here is rare, and this is pretty much the only place I feel comfortable exploring it. I do believe the thread is mostly un-helpful, though, as I mentioned above, and I kinda wish I hadn't started it.............lol. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has regretted a post here........I find the quality of responses and insight comforting, and it helps me feel free to express myself and to excuse myself when I'm.........not as "eloquent" as usual. ;)
