Discussion I could do the carbon monoxyde thing in my car

I just never considered this method because I read that if someone else touches the car, they could die. I don't like methods like that, that put others are risk.

But I'm so desperate now. How can I do it safely? I really don't want to harm anyone.

Also, it seems like an extremely simple method. Why isn't it more popular on SS? Even if you don't have a car, you can still rent one. Is it an actually reliable method?

Most just use a tent which u can still obtain cheap but have one that don't allow much CO to escape. a car is too big capacity wise and u release too much when getting back in if your doing charcoal method. Unless ur referring to the propane method.

Cars gotta be an early 90s model for it to work. Newer cars have something that makes this method way more complicated and unreliable now.

I live in a third-world country. I can find and rent such a car easily.

I think the key is CO2 % in fumes.
Different cars have various %.
I have a car that is quite new and CO2 % is so low,the fuel will run out faster than I die
This is why I gave up on car suicide…
Also,I think you need to read about cons of CO2 here,you might not like them:/

I am not very familiar with carbon dioxide in a car. I was gonna do it in a sealed closet or small room. But I changed my method. There is also another method which is hydrogen sulfide. Usually you put signs on the doors so the people who find you don't get near without appropriate gear.

U sure as hell wasn't specific in your first post... Carbon monoxide thing in a car - coulda been any method, that's why I suggested - forget it

Catalytic converter on modern cars is what reduces CO emissions. Pre 90s cars don't have one. Well, until the VERY early 90s, they didn't have one.

CO2 is carbon dioxide, the stuff we breathe out and causes a hypocapnic, alarm response if too much is present. CO is carbon monoxide. Just so people are aware of the difference.

I'm doing the charcoal burning, CO thing, tonight, which I know isn't possible for everyone who wants to CTB.

Edited because I noticed some seem to get CO and CO2 confused.

My 89 240SX had one that I gutted. I suspect many late 80s cars would have them as well. Probably need mid 80s or earlier to be 100% sure. If you know what you are looking for they are pretty easy to spot and would be located between the muffler and the exhaust manifold.

Thinking about it, my first car had a catalytic converter and that was a 1985 model, Toyota. I got it in 1992.

I guess it depends on make and model of car.

yep, I'm honestly not sure exactly when they became a standard thing, but they are fairly easy to spot especially on older cars when there would be only one of them in pretty much the same spot in the exhaust line. A lot of newer cars now have multiple pre-cats that come right off the exhaust manifold in addition to the standard one underneath.

Really? Why would they do that? I can't 100% discount it, but sounds a bit far-fetched to me. Who knows? Wouldn't exploding veins be a successful ctb?
