I can't trust anyone, I can't speak to anyone. My friends are all tired of my misery they don't understand me, they don't want to listen to me anymore and i don't blame them it's exhausting. But now I feel so alone. I can't talk about how religion has destroyed me, they're all so religious and believe in the things that are killing me. I don't know what I can do anymore. I just want to leave the earth and end it all I am so tired of waking up every day. I'm scared to sleep because i'm afraid i'll wake up tomorrow and i really just can't deal with this anymore.

We are here to listen to you, and we have no interest in judging you.

Is there something in particular that bothers you right now - like a problem, if it was talked about, could make you feel better in this moment?

I'm sorry.

There is a group called Recovering From Religion. I don't know much about the group personally. They have virtual meetings.

There are others here who can relate to you here, that group is specifically geared toward leaving a religious group.

I understand that it is hard to carry on when you cannot take it anymore. I am also tired of waking up, more than anything I want eternal sleep. Living is very painful. I can imagine it must be an isolating feeling having no one that understands, I never trust people and I see it as best not to be trusting. I'm sorry you are suffering so much, whatever happens, I wish you the best.

I guess the fact that i'm really sad that I can't die anytime soon, it's nighttime where i am and i'm about to sleep, and it hurts to know that i'm going to wake up tomorrow morning

What makes you not be able to die soon? Is your religion keeping you from ending your life?

It's night time where I live as well. Do you feel like it's harder to feel happy during the night, when there are fewer things to do?

i'm terrified of hell, and I haven't found a method yet.

It's hard during the night because I'll know i'll have to go through it all tomorrow again

I see! Do you believe that you will go to hell if you end your life, or do you think that you may have done something bad before, which could make you end up there?

Your nightly dread is relatable. Are you using any medications to relieve this type of anxiety?

What type of hell are you afraid of?

Don't want to knock anyone's religious beliefs. Did see a program that said Kenneth Copeland was worth 700 million dollars. That's not religion. That's a colossal scam.

Sorry if my post was a little off topic. But please don't take someone else's beliefs too seriously. Hell or no hell, they don't know anymore about it than you or I do. Still a mystery.
Yeah Somber, he is one creepy looking dude.

I relate to you soooo much. Im really sorry. It feels terrible to talk about what's bothering you only to be answered with something about god, hell fire, or "you need to pray". I too am feeling feelings of resentment towards my own religion. Actually I have felt them ever since I was a child. My heart goes out to you.

I believe we're both in a similar situation. I know how isolating it can feel.

biblical hell of eternal torment and pain, earth is awful i'd hate to move from one hell to another
As far as I can tell this already is biblical hell as described in Dante's Inferno, minus the brimstone.

I can certainly see some accurate analogies between the starving sinners and the food that is just out of reach.

But it doesn't have to be for everyone.

I'm gonna have to link @Ta555 's thread here. will update in a second. okay here it is.

https://sanctioned-suicide.net/threads/religion-hell-ctb-and-why-we-shouldnt-worry.81218/

I understand your terror. one inflicted on you. one you didn't necessarily choose to believe in. heck, I mean, this stuff can eat people alive even when they're not looking to kill themselves. many of us here have fears of Hell, afterlife, reincarnation, bunch of religious concepts we either grew up around or gave a thought to later in life. undoing this sort of societal implantation of thought is indeed difficult and tormenting. I hope the thread above will somewhat help you find a peace of mind.

i'm terrified of hell
These religions need to tap into the primal fears of the human body/mind (fear of exclusion, fear of pain, etc.) in order to conceal their very limited substance and achieve obedience. But if the brainwashing is deep, it won't be enough to have someone tell you that it is a false belief.

The first step should be being open to challenge those beliefs and seeing that each person's thought process is just another idea and has no authority over reality. In the case of hell, my understanding is that early Christianity often viewed hell as a temporary place of being purged of sin, but later modifications in the Catholic Church made it into a place of eternal torture for anyone who did not give obedience to that particular church.

I've mentioned before that the combination of inventing a problem - hell in the afterlife - that cannot be completely disproven, beating the narrative into children from a young age, then demanding a lifetime of donations and unquestioning loyalty from billions, must be the greatest scam in human history. I hope you can find healing.

"Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by the rulers as useful."
I have a few suggestions for you if religion has been tormenting you. YouTube channels: TheraminTrees, Genetically Modified Skeptic, Atheist Experience, Cosmic Skeptic. Things to read: The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins, God Is Not Great by Christopher Hitchens, The End of Faith by Sam Harris. There's also a site called 'Recovering From Religion' which has resources.
I hope you will find that helpful. And if nothing else watch this video for a little laugh :)

I'm non-religious with a religious sister. I see religion as a kind of acknowledgement of suffering in the world and how to deal with it. Buddha, for example, taught that life is suffering. The problem with religion is that Buddha frames the alleviation of suffering around escaping transmigration and Christians in salvation through Jesus. They are clearly contradictory concepts and not the same which is why Karl Marx wrote that religion is "the opiate of the masses" in its attempts to alleviate suffering in the world. There's no proof for any kind of post-mortem existence nor that of gods or goddesses.
