Hello everyone. I am a horrible person and I am deserving of death. I have decided to do it tonight. Although, I've made many attempts before and they didn't work. I will update you on whether I succeed or not. Also, since I have made many attempts and they didn't work, I was wondering if you guys had any tips for partial hanging to help make tonight successful. Thank you all so much. I hope after tonight, my family won't have to deal with a burden anymore.

Hello horrible person, just make sure you keep the ligature applying pressure on the carotid arteries and experiment a little with the best positions as the are many for partial.

You're not fully in the air. Your feet aren't off the ground. The rope is usually attached to a doorknob or something instead of a ceiling.

Interesting. Seems like that would be a lower probability of success but I get it. It's hard to find a great spot to hang yourself. Especially indoors and if you're tall even harder. If you try outdoors like from a tree, there's possibility of someone seeing and intervening like calling police to foil your attempt. I was researching suicide methods and the 2nd best way according to the data was called self-asphyxiation and it referred to hanging one's self. That's interesting because when hanging was used as capital punishment if it was done correctly and professionally the condemned person didn't die from asphyxiation. Rather the drop and body weight all carefully measured to result in snapping neck and spinal cord which causes immediate death.

I'm considering if I can't find any fentanyl. Probably better chance of success than fentanyl tho. I don't fear death but I fear having a failed attempt and getting locked up in 1 of those corrupt and horrible mental health facilities.

I have attempted several times and failed. I'm not in a hospital, so I don't think there's much to worry about. As long as you do it inside, lock the door and close the blinds you're pretty safe from that.

Seems like partial hanging would be hard to pull off successfully. Maybe if you used an electrical cord? And you would have to have a way to keep the pressure on carotid artery after losing consciousness. Seems doable but difficult

forgive me if im wrong but isnt the gist of partial hanging using your body weight against the rope to keep it compressed
like say if i do it from a doorknob and lean forward wouldn't that be enough to die or is there not enough pressure?

But the thing is you don't know how your body is going to position itself after you lose consciousness. You're no longer in control and even tho you are trying to die, your body is going to try to survive and if it can find a body position that will take pressure off the artery it will. You have to really make certain that can't happen. Seems tricky. Could be done tho. For myself I don't think it's foolproof enough. I wouldn't be confident that I could pull it off
I looked at all the stats and probabilities. Even ctb is gambling. The least effective method statistically is cutting wrists. Less than 2 percent probability you're going to die. Yet I knew a guy who did die that way. Shotgun blast to the head is the highest probability at over 95 percent. Yet I knew James Vance who did that and survived. At least for about 2 years and eventually did die after many hospitalizations and surgeries. If you've seen VH 1 behind the music episode about the band Judas priest he was 1 of the kids whose parents sued the band for wrongful death because that was the record that was playing when parents found them. They claimed subliminal messages in the music caused the boys to shoot themselves. I talked to J after he shot himself and asked him about it and he said hell no it had nothing to do with the music and rattled off about 5 different drugs they took that night as well as drinking alcohol behind em. He said it wouldn't have mattered what record was playing. Accordingly when the case got to court, the judge dismissed it after opening arguments saying to the plaintiff's attorneys "what part of the 1st amendment don't you understand"

I don't know how that repeated. I didn't type it twice. I know I suck with all this 21st century technology. I hate the 21st century. I guarantee you would never have this many people on a forum like this in the 20th century

Ohh I didn't see this thread. When you really don't have any doubt then, I wish for the most peaceful passing and that you have the best time ever in the afterlife, but if you have some doubt. Maybe it's good to think about it one more time. I mean I don't want you to die and really care about you. But it's not my decision to make, so if you're sure, we'll meet again in the afterlife and will be such good friends. You won't believe what fucking good friends we're going to be.

thing is idk how to tie the belt/rope to the other side doorknob. also idk how to tie a slipknot lowkey i have such shitty motor skills. the martial arts belts also have more width on them so that might make it more difficult. but i dont have a rope on me rn.

I won't stop you from killing yourself. However you're not a burden and you do not deserve to feel that way about yourself. Parents and family can be some of the most thoughtless monsters out there and a lot of the self image and self worth issues I have came from the way they treated me, after awhile you really do start seeing yourself like they have "suggested" you do.
