There are some wild malicious accusations going around that I am using the site to try to pick up girls.

This is completely false.

I just am lonley because I have no friends or gf in real life which is the reason I want to ctb in the first place, and looking for people to chat with on Discord or Telegram.

And I want to leave this website today as it scares and depresses me which is why I sent many messages to users so before I leave here I could find many friends.

Just remember next time before you accuse someone of horrible stuff how it might impact him.

Will say, I've heard their username circle around sometimes and most older users on sasu know them, but it wasn't inherently always positive. Maybe you just got caught in one bad interaction with someone looking to fight (again, don't know the situation, just speculating).

You've stated this in your other "Goodbye Forever Last Post" threads. It would make complete sense to stop interacting with the forum if it affects you so negatively. Lots of people come here depressed and/or suicidal and find it to be a very positive community that makes them feel less alone. If suicide scares you, this is the last place you want to be.

There are thousands of forums out there with thousands of avenues to make friends that don't involve suicide. You have so many choices. Or you could download an app like Bumble BFF, We3, or Meetup to make new friends. It's easy, it only takes 20 seconds to download. Then you could have flowing chats with all sorts of people!

Of all the places to want to make friends this site has to be on a top ten list of worst places. Not that there are many very nice people on here, because there are, but it's just that there's a very good chance they may not be here tomorrow. And you never know who it's going to be. The friends we make here happen by chance. I haven't been successful yet but even I feel it that I'll be leaving one day. I base my claim on experience with this type of guy on this site, he doesn't even bother to spend time here before getting down to business. One other one like this openly explained to me he intended to have some fun here with girls.

I think the 'recovery' subforum is a much better place for people to look for friends and love. As they are people who are trying to recover and find something that might help them live.
Of course the general advice is that you should love yourself and have your life together before you try to love someone else. But still i think there is nothing wrong with people trying to find some kind of connections, even when they are at their lowest.

You're being highly presumptions the guy is just very really lonely. He even sent me a message asking to talk because we thought we were rather similar. You're disgusting honestly, every male is predatory in your eyes, typical misandrist. Even then, there's nothing with wanting similar minded female companionship, I've had many good female friends over the years both online and with no intent, men & women can be friends. He should probably post in the off topic forum but your presumptions behaviour is laughable. Discord and telegram allow for 1 to 1 conversation, it's different from here. The fact that you managed to somehow bring SA into the equation is really telling of your mindset.
Someone can be suicidal and also put of by people dying that's normal, he even thought it was sad that I'm going to CBT and that maybe if we were friends I'd much feel better. Whats going on here is exactly why I don't try talking to or reaching out to people here, or anywhere really. I am also incredibly lonely and isolated with no gf, and I want to find a cute girl somewhere to talk to and fall in love with. But unfortunately, I get totally ignored on dating apps (which is normal for men, fyi), and trying to date anywhere else is seen as predatory.

It's not a good place for romantic love at all for reasons no one should have to mention. But platonic connection is more than understandable, we all wish to connect with similar minded people. One thing everyone should know is that there's no guarantees in love. I don't believe anyone is entitled to romantic love life is just not fair like that.

i totally understand how it may come off weird, but also being in the shoes of someone who struggles romantically, or struggles getting friendships, perhaps they just thought having friends who struggle with a similar thing may be better for them, especially since many typical people would shy away at the idea of being suicidal.

if they were being genuinely disturbing and weird, getting in peoples personal space i'd see the issue but i really don't see it.

These strange posts are recent sign ups. I'm not sure if it's simply people who are naive and don't understand the purpose of this site or something else.

S.S. is not a personal networking site of any kind. Trying to pull people away from it to connect elsewhere while being here a short time disregards respect for others and appropriate boundaries which create a safe space for people to deal with the deeply personal topic of suicide. It is sketchy and inappropriate. There are other suitable forums to find a romantic companion.

I think there's a middle ground to be reached when it comes to cases like this.

If the user has not shown any creepy behavior, if there were no claims that they were harassing people in or outside SS, it's really not the right thing to treat them with such high prejudice and suspicion. Everyone deserves to be treated kindly, especially if they didn't do anything wrong.

But as a woman who also gets a lot of inappropriate unwanted attention, I understand this kind of visceral (or logical) reaction. Retro, in one of his threads, have shown to posses questionable ideas when it comes to dating and women in general (treating relationships with women as something of "animalistic desire" and seeing us as only caring for looks and money).

I personally have not talked to him. And I'm not going to make judgements on someone I don't know. But I also won't judge someone for being careful of people who posses these views, specially if they've been hurt by them.

Btw, I'm not excusing anyone. "Harassment bad" goes for all sides. Some posts in this thread I think could've been worded in a much more respectful way. This is just my opinion on the situation.
