I am going to ctb if i lose my job. My life is really over. Everything was going so well.

I started a new job last month. My workplace uses this background check company which has been giving me so much stress. This company is so slow and useless in their checks. Last month I gave them a contact list for the local church that I attend and do volunteering for.

Today my screening company contacted the wrong church and people said they never heard of me. They showed me the email from the church they contacted. I explained this is not my church. They accusing me of sending them this address I didn't.

I have provided a new set of contrat details
I am extremely scared I will fail the employment screening. I cant cope anymore. I am finally going to ctb

Hey, I've always related to your posts as someone who has struggle with the same issues and the same age with BPD. I'm really proud of you getting the job and I hope this works out. It's not your fault they got the church wrong and it shouldn't be your place to worry as it's on them for messing up, I hope it sorts itself out for you. Can you ask the church you volunteer for to contact your employer? And ask them to send documented proof of the time you have volunteered there?

Since you were kind enough to offer your time free of charge to the church they should be willing to do that for you.

I don't know how this company's background checks work but if someone from the church could FAX or mail proof of your volunteer time and maybe follow up with a phone call that would prove that you were being truthful.

God I'm sorry this is happening to you. And that this company has brought you to the point of suicide.

This company definitely should have conducted background checks before offering you a job and allowing you to start settling in and getting comfortable with the job.

As someone who can relate to the desire to want to cbt, I respect how you feel and will wish you a peaceful passing if you honestly believe that catching the bus is what's best for you.

The next week and a half is going to be an agonizing one for you.

As if the days aren't agonizing enough for those in our position.

I empathize with the can't take it anymore feelings you are having.

If the company now has the correct contact information and the people at the church who you volunteered for will confirm that you've volunteered for them then I guess you can take comfort in that.

I know how you feel. You didn't want this static, you didn't cause this static and you want things resolved right now and your mind to be put at ease.

I hope everything works out for you, I don't see why things wouldn't work out for you, you're telling the truth and the church will back you up.

If the company is satisfied and your job is safe. Then take a deep breath and relax for a while.

Then, polish up your resume even more and keep an eye out for other job openings and other ideas of where else you'd like to work. Just so you have the comfort of knowing there are other job options out there.

You'll be secure in this current job and it may be good for you from a psychological standpoint to be reassured that other options exist. This may be a good and empowering feeling for you.

My grandmother painkillers the whole box( co co damol) , over a 150 sleeping pills. I will do it at remote location rather that at home.

I will die from liver damage I read that packet.

I live in the UK and this is my first job ever so I have no idea how backgrounds checks work

I work for a large company that has volunteers who do projects in the local community . My job is to provide resources and help volunteers do carry out their projects. I am really enjoying it.

And I'm sorry to be a broken record or to repeat myself, empower yourself so that you do not feel completely dependent on this company and their policies.

When your background check comes back clean and accurate and if they apologize to you or give you a sense of having been vindicated and you feel good about working there then that's great.

But it never hurts to keep your resume up to date, to improve on your skills whenever you can and to keep an eye on openings that are in your line of work for your own peace of mind and in order to have some sense of confidence.

As someone who'd like to ctb I think you're desire and will to keep on living is very brave.

Hi. Im really sorry to hear the stress you're experiencing ... sometimes life just doesn't seem to give us a break does it?
As AlwaysBad said above it might be a good idea to go to your boss directly and tell them how much the job means to you and just how stressful you are finding this situation and ask for some consideration in terms of speeding up the process ... just stating the facts simply. Are they aware of your MH issues (if you have a diagnosis)? If they are then possibly they will understand what a difficult time this is for you. It sounds as though you are a very good fit for the job and thats why they hired you ... remember that they saw you as the best person for the job and they wont want to lose you over an error like this. I wish you really well with this and hope it turns out to your advantage because it sounds to me as if you have a lit to offer in the role and it would be great for you too.

I have had the covid19 vaccine. I now feel super cold, no appetite and very flu like. The stress of this and the vaccine is not helping.

I don't think they will send you away for this. I know how company works but they need to understand that you didn't gave them any false information. If they didn't sent any warning by now, they probably already saw the error (The HRM however, might be in trouble)

This is the disadvantages of outsourcing.
What is the point in having HR if they dont do checks.

The checks have been nothing but stressful. First was the application form then the demands to prove my education then next the explanation of my employment gaps.

They are strongest pain killers and can only brought using a prescription.
