My government insurance for indigents required me to find a primary care doctor and do a health exam. One of the forms I had to fill out asked if I ever had passive suicidal ideation on a scale from 0 to 5, so I marked 1. The Dr reviewed the forms and said I needed to change it to zero otherwise he'd be required to call the police and have me committed involuntarily for 72 hours. It used to be that'd only happen when you said you were actively suicidal, had a plan, etc. So now you can get thrown in a cage, drugged up, and reeducated just for thinking about it. Land of the free
