Discussion Hypocritical Rhetoric

Im tired of hearing "suicide is a permanent solution for temporary problems" from the same people who constantly use the loss of folks they knew from suicide as an opportunity to farm sympathy points and digital hugs.

Never want to talk about how their "grief" is ALSO a TEMPORARY PROBLEM they never seem to get over, yet they tell you to get over your traumas, mental disorders, and frustrations with the world so they don't have to deal with you taking your own life.

Using dismissive and unhelpful platitudes against you just for them to have their cake and eat it too, and I'm supposed to believe that term and the people using it for moral brownie points are "well intentioned" and "care about the sanctity of life"?!?!?!

it's something they say without giving it much thought, something they're brainwashed to repeat over and over because it's the response they were taught was "moral", so i don't think they're being inherently malicious. i pity them more than i resent them now. shallow people incapable of forming their own opinions...
