i could easily do it in the comfort of my home, but there's a problem: my family. it's not that they might interrupt me, but rather the risk of inflicting such permanent trauma or damage that they'd have to leave the house or something like that.
at the same time, a public space would be just as traumatic for whoever finds me, but it's completely a matter of chance. a child, an elderly woman, or a mother could be the one to find me. maybe doing it in a car in a parking lot would be a good idea. but what kind of parking lot? a hospital's? doctors are used to seeing gruesome bodies, but there's also the risk that they might see me convulsing in the car and rescue me. idk what to do.

Some people leave a note on the door or something, but realistically I doubt that stops anybody. It's not like somebody will call for help and wait for them to arrive before opening the door. Still slightly better than no note I guess.

And yes, valid about you still don't know who will find you. And in fairness, why would a random person be less valuable than your mother, for example?

Obviously I understand that, but wouldn't it be nice to live in a world where everybody cares about each other equally... If people truly cared about each other than we would have a lot of less problems.

I found a gas station for trucks that's abandoned and pretty remote. I was going to use that. I liked how peaceful and quiet it was. I doubt that it would cause any trouble for anyone.

Option 2 would be to book a hotel room. That way it's guaranteed my body will be found. Can leave a do not disturb note on the door and book it for a day longer than needed. Hotel staff are used to finding messes even if i plan not to leave one and would most likely just call the police upon finding me.

it's actually a good idea. maybe even have a pre-written msg for the police explaining what happened, along with the hotel address. my family can be notified later on.

I agree. That's the least one can do. Leaving a short and precise note is enough in my opinion. If they decide to force open the door despite reading that note, it is on them. If you see such a note and enter you should be expecting to see a dead body inside...

idk, my family doesn't expect this of me. i'm sure they would downplay the note, believing they can still save me.

I choose my place to be in nature by an abandoned Riverside. I don't want to die inside closed space. I want to die in nature. I feel bad for the jogger that will probably find me one morning.

I want to inflict pain on my partner so dying in my basement is very convenient.

I walked around many places and forests until I finally found a tree that was secluded, reachable (hopefully strong enough) branches, yet high enough that my feet would barely reach the ground.
Unfortunately, inevitably, someone would eventually find me, I wonder it would be by accident or someone searching for me.

Oh I'm sorry. I meant the hotel staff, or rented apartment's property owner by "them". Absolutely, my parents would react the same if I killed myself in my parents' apartment.

A hotel. Or somewhere strangers and professionals (including cleaning crew and insurances) are equipped to deal with the aftermath. That way it's less devastating for my parents and save them the trouble. I've read way too many stories about what a mess suicide leaves behind

ok ok. tysm
