Idk whether i have depression or not, but i often feel sad. I dont mind if im sad but lately i realized i've had lost some of my friends. I think this is because i cant hide my sad expression too well, which make them uncomfortable around me because i gave them some kind of negative energy. So i thought maybe if i can mask my sadness i can keep my friends. But i dont know how. Do you have any advice? All advice are welcome (this is my first time asking a question in here,im sorry if i post this question in the wrong thread 😅)

Hypervigilance and awareness. It's dreadfully fatiguing; you need to be constantly aware of the way you are acting and expressing, all gestures and mannerisms, constantly editing & you need to be hypervigilant of people around you to adapt to them or mirror them. You're essentially signing up to have your brain on 100% during all socializing so you can convincingly act.

It's not worth it imo, it will leave lasting impact on your nervous system.
I'm sorry your friends left you instead of supporting you or checking in... I'm really sorry 🫂🫂
