  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Most of such methods would be unreliable and/or brutal

Try putting water and soap on the floor of your bathroom so you can slide your head into the bathtub.
You will break your neck by falling off and your death will be like an accident.

Good Luck :smiling:

There's really only a small handful of methods that could look like accidents. Drowning comes to mind. And like the other poster said, falling off a cliff, or something. But, if you have any history of trying to kill yourself before, have been treated for suicidal ideation, or there's electronically traceable information, whereby you've searched for methods to kill yourself, or even joined a suicide forum (ahem), all bets are off.

There have been a number of stories that have come out about tourists going to visit places like the Grand Canyon or national parks or hiking in the desert and then dying from overheating and dehydrating. Apparently people can get so overheated that they die very quickly especially if they don't have enough water on them or if they get lost.

This is becoming increasingly common especially because record breaking temperatures keep being reached each year. It could easily look like an accident if someone decided to go on a solo hike on a very hot day without enough water.

Here are some stories of this happening:

Really? Where did you hear this?

I assume they would be able to figure it out if you had it sitting out or mixed in a glass nearby though

How do they trace that information? Are family members going to be able to find out we posted here after our death? If so, how would they find that out?

Unfortunately a lot of things.

Almost everything can be recovered from various devices (like the one you're reading this on) — there are ways around this but they do require a degree of planning or using a different kind of browser etc.

Drive of a cliff. It'll look like an accident. Especially if you do it during a rain/snowstorm. Takes guts though.

You should look into life insurance too I guess, but if you have children you probably know more about this stuff than me.

There's taking of lethal cardiac drugs. But they're painful asf and you'd have to take benzo before hand or something. And OD isn't all that reliable of a method without AE

Oh so when you die, your internet browsing history will be reviewed by the authorities even if your death appears natural?

if it appears natural they don't even open an investigation. the only risk is tech savvy family/friends who may dig around or accidentally stumble upon digital evidence , this is why it's best to destroy devices before ctb, don't leave any gadgets as inheritance, surf the web on incognito mode plus vpn, sign up to forums like sasu with emails which don't link to your official email
