Help How to get rid of sexual desire

Horniness can be very unpleasant (especially if it can't be satisfied). I just fucking hate that I have this desire in me, constantly nagging me. Fuck nature and fuck hormones. I hate them so much, because they make me suffer a lot.

I don't think there's any way to physically get rid of sexual desire; it's just not possible (unless you do something very extreme, dangerous and harmful, such as self-castration). I'm obviously not going to do this, I'm not that stupid.

I can only think of two options tbh

1) If you take an ssri or antipsychotic, change meds until you find one that kills your sex drive
2) Masturbate every morning and night

I do not know if it is just my mood or the combination of the meds I am taking but I have no sexual desire at all. I do not watch porn nor have sex with my partner or desire to have sex with women, I am essentially asexual.

I already take an SSRI and, if anything, I think it even increases my sexual desire. I can't do the second option, I can't masturbate too often due to an acne issue.

The best I can think of is to think of something completely non-sexual. When you get a thought you don't want, think of the map of the United States of America.

You can also start to put together a jigsaw puzzle every time a thought comes into your mind. You'll have completed all sorts of puzzles within weeks.

When all else fails, think of yourself falling from a tree.

Most rapes don't happen just because the rapist is horny. They are disgusting human beings and often enjoy having power over the victim. I agree with the unwanted pregnancies though, they'd definitely be reduced. Porn addiction is a bit different, you can control a high sex drive without porn. But I guess the usage would decrease since people won't get off on it.

Lucky you. If only I could get rid of it... These stupid bodies enslave us. Many people here are suggesting techniques and remedies for this problem, and I'm very grateful for that. However, the fact is that you either lose your sex drive completely (as in your case) or you are stuck with it.

Fucking nature sucks, sex is probably the biggest trap of them all (after all, we wouldn't be here if it weren't for it) and I have to get a vasectomy in order not to make a mess.

If you stop taking your SSRI you might get PSSD. It happened to me.

A few years ago I lost my drive for 2 years. Bit I've had it disappear time to time being on ssri. Mines on over drive right now even with my date being a week out.

It's supposed to go down with age. I'm guessing I'm similar age to you, but it's only gone down a little bit for me, I still think of it everyday.

Maybe having a lot of sex until it gets boring may help. It probably reduces some aspects of the desire, like the FOMO, but it doesn't help with the addictive aspects of it.

Being content with other aspects of life would reduce the need for it, but that probably doesn't apply to most of us on this forum.
