How to FSH/PSH with a dog leash?

Either work for me but I have yet to find a secure spot for FSH. Suddenly coming home with a rope will be suspicious as hell so I think one of my chains will do. It's around a meter long, and looks like the one in the picture. Do you think it'll be safe to go with that or should I just get something else? And how should I close it? Sorry if these questions seem to be already answered in the hanging thread but I've tried it like three times and just once I got to the 'sweet spot' and I forgot how.

have you found anything talking about using a metal dog leash to hang yourself? all the resources i can find only talk about leashes made of rope

EDIT: in fact, aside from bedsheets and cables, it's all just ropes

Sadly not. The most I could find was a response to my post in the Hanging thread saying that a dog leash would work, but not how to go along with it. I guess I'm gonna have to improv at this point...

if you're using a chain, wouldn't it not stay flush against your neck and thus not compress your carotids?

I was actually wondering that. I remember that the attempt when I hit the spot it didn't compress my carotids but it was enough to suppress my breath for a second or two to make me feel light-headed. This was in a PSH attempt if relevant. I guess I was doing it wrong this whole time; I'll have to look for something else, suppose a cable will do.

A little casual experimentation with this some time ago yielded me no results for this exact reason. The chain was just an all-around hassle.

Thank you both. I think I'm just gonna use a towel instead, hopefully it's strong enough to hold my weight! Not that I weigh much but I'm paranoid of not making it first try. Although it took my boyfriend three until he finally succeeded...
