  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Hello everyone,

I didn't see a thread specifically about this question so, if this is allowed, I would like to open one about how to deal with a wellness check. I'm planning on buying SN and CTB as soon as possible. However, I'm very anxious about the risk of authorities knowing about my command and interfering with my plans.

So, in case of a wellness check, what can you do? What should you say? What are your rights if they decide to search for your CTB resources?

I guess it is specific to which country you live in but I think it is a good question in general

If you're in the US I wouldn't worry about a wellness check. As far as other places a wellness check is not a legal warrant; tell the fuckers you're making bacon or something and close the door on em'

Just say you're not feeling well mentally and if they ask, say that you don't have plans to kill yourself. If you want help, you can say that you have thoughts about suicide but so you don't get searched or hospitalised, say there are things that would hold you back from suicide like things you want to do in life or people you don't want to hurt. Say you have a lawyer and you're not endangering yourself or anyone else. It might be worth phoning a lawyer to make sure they'd be available to fend people off with a phonecall if you need to

What else is SN used for? If they ask about it specify it is for just that and everything is great no worries.

True, US isn't a nanny state like Britain, we possess more freedom here

I worked in mental health for several years. Most hospitals don't have enough beds to do holds for everyone who needs it. So, if you just say the minimum (i.e., I can keep myself safe), you're fine.
