How many sleeping pills do I need to take to CTB?

Hello.

As the title implies, I've finally thought of how I want to go about my suicide, that is I want to take a large amount of sleeping pills and doze off peacefully.

There are a lot of pharmacies near and away my house I know, I don't mind walking to each one for hours a day to get the approximate number of pills i'll need.

I want to ask, which one would work specifically? And how many?

OTC sleeping pills aren't enough. The amount it would take for a fatal dose isn't really humanly possible to consume. OTC meds and anti-depressants are almost guaranteed to be non-fatal. Lots of prescription sleeping pills also aren't strong enough for you to successfully catch the bus either.

What about alcohol + overdose? Would it help the effect of the pills? I have lots of alcohol just sitting in my fridge

Current, modern products aren't likely to kill you. You're better with older barbiturates like Veronal or Gardenal, if you can find them.

If you can get your hands on benzos and alcohol, I've heard it's a lethal combination. Do your research on how much you need though.

i do not think the modern day sleeping pills, or just generally, are enough to make a lethal dosage. so you will probably just end up in huge pain, but no death. However, there are 64000+ reported deaths from overdose of sleeping pills, so idk

Overdoses of most drugs are extremely unreliable. Even ODs on things like fent and heroin are more the exception than the norm.

Just my view but any OD is a bad idea.

Sorry for being snarky, but are you an adult and do you have basic literacy skills? What stops you from reading the resources you can find here, to figure out if they sell OTC sleeping pills that could be a reliable ctb option? I honestly feel like either this place is full of trolls (well, it likely is) or people who in some form of protest against the society refuse to use their brains. I don't get it.

Horrible way… I've been unsuccessful on multiple occasions. You just end up with a massive hangover, unless someone finds you then you end up with charcoal in your stomach and a few weeks in the psych ward.

Too bad. I wouldn't trust internet strangers to place an order at McDonald's for me, unless I really didn't care what I'd eat. If you care about not getting involuntarily hospitalized, I'd advise you to do proper research.
If you do want to get hospitalized, you probably can just call emergency or go to your local psych ward and tell them about your suicidal ideation. Fees, terms and conditions may apply There's no reason to wreck your body with ineffective methods just to get hospitalized, you can fast-forward to hospitalization without doing any harm to yourself!
