Hey so I was ready to ctb or so I thought. I mixed two 25 glasses of SN. I stared at them for 24 hours contemplating life with my heart pounding going back and forth trying to make myself fucking drink it. I want to die. But is this still going to be effective. Or does it lose potency?

sodium nitrite is NaNO2. if it gets one more oxygen, it oxidizes into sodium nitrate (NaNO3), making it ineffective for CTB purposes.
by the way, that's the reason why it's recommended to store SN sealed in its original container (with the original seal).
but how long does it take to oxidize a whole SN dose? I don't know. I'd recommend preparing it at the time of the attempt.

mine has been a portion stored mixed and not mixed and I just recently tested and its still tests positive

Okay. I guess just the purity is now unknown. I know I originally had good sn.
Fuck me im freaking the fuck out. Having this way out was the only thing keeping me borderline sane.

even small amounts of SN can kill a human being (I think the estimated lethal dose is 0,1g for every kg of bodyweight, or something like that).
and I can't tell you how much air or water is needed to oxidize a given amount of SN and how long it would take, due to my lack of knowledge on this (a chemistry person would know perhaps).
maybe not everything is lost.

Hmm.....I would probably put the mixtures in the freezer if I wasn't going to use them right away. Freezing a substance stops chemical reactions from occurring so I would think it would last.
I've put lids on them. They were open to air for almost 24 hours though. Need a science nerd. I should have just killed myself with H2S at work before I asked to go to rehab. Or nitrogen. I had so many things that were instant painless death but I tried to do the right thing so my coworkers weren't traumatized. And chose sn. Now I fucked that up. scared of this not working and ending up in the psych ward. Not sure if it's worth it.
Ready to drink now. Just want someone with mor chemical knowledge to tell me if I waited too long

Before anybody makes you all paranoid there have been users that prepared it and left it out for two or three days and drank it and passed away.

Its temperature dependent. Below 12 C, its really low. Deg really starts at 25C and above and is quite slow. More dilute it is, slower it goes amazingly. First order reaction. There's literature on it
