Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

Maybe it sounds like a weird question. I just wondered whether other people experience this. So- obviously, the moment you wake up and probably need to go to the loo, our brains are awake and working. But then, mine tends to be in a slightly numb, sleepy mode for some time.

I'm lucky in a way- that I'm now freelance. Obviously, when I worked at places, I needed to be there at 8 or 9am so- there was no time to allow my brain to naturally awaken. Now though, I can choose to have a slow, reluctant morning and work later to compensate.

But, there's like this weird moment my brain seems to 'click' into 'on' mode. This morning, it took around two hours! I think that's probably around average- without the use of stimulants- sugar, caffeine. Do you sense this shift between asleep and awake? How long does it take for you?

These days I'm asleep almost all day long because of valium and sleeping pills. I feel like an alcoholic but I have no alternative because of severe anxiety.

Almost all day long, I have moments of clarity. It gets a little better in the evenings though, but overall I'm really exhausted.

I'm on clozapine so I'm not functional until 11 AM on an empty day, no matter how good I slept the night before.

Instant. It has always been instant for me. I am the most awake the instant my eyes open and it is all down hill from there.

Wake up? I can't get the thing to shut down, it is like the Duracell Bunny on amphetamine and espresso .

From the second I wake up it is running flat out down hill as fast as it can, thinking of lots of different things and bouncing all over the place. It is exhausting!

I have tried all sorts of techniques to calm the thing down but even doing something as mindful as yoga it still keeps 3 or 4 other things running. During therapy when I was asked if I was tuning out I said no and repeated everything the therapist had said which pleased her, but she would have been less pleased if she knew I was also remembering to add bread to the shopping list, thinking that I needed to complete a training module for work and wondering if I needed to get the car serviced 🫣

I envy people that can switch off and just watch tv or play a game and not think of 50 other things.

What pills do you use? I've wondered about doing this so that I can sleep the entire day and night away. But I wasn't sure how effective it would be.

I use zolpidem prescribed by my regular doctor and my psychiatrist. Very effective but addictive as valium is. But I prefere being addict rather than being completely crazy. I know what it is when you cannot sleep properly. Ask your doctor for these pills. If you explain that you're under pressure these times, I think he/she will prescribe it easily. I wish you peace đź’–
