For the past few weeks every time I wake up I get that sinking feeling in my chest. It feels like I'm waking up to a nightmare and I just close my eyes and go to sleep again.

I've been sleeping for about 12 hours the last few days.

I lack sleep. 4-5 hours every day for the last 6 months now? Starting to feel it physically.

About six hours in three shifts, with downtime (or actually uptime) as i try to get back to sleep after every toilet visit. Not helped by possible apnea, tinnitus, noisy plumbing etc.
I'm doing waaaay better than I was this time last year. Then it was less than one hour a night and that on;y through utter exhaustion.

I struggle to get out of bed in the morning. I used to have insomnia, now I fall asleep easily, but it's hard for me to wake up early.

For me it has been a bit less than six months. Lack of sleep is a bitch.

I'm getting about 8 hours sleep a night then often dozing and messing around on here for another 4 hours or so before getting up.
This is much easier to do now it's so dark.
Would much rather be sleeping 6 hours and getting up at 6am for work though.

On the cycle of staying awake for many days to avoid waking up as I dread that feeling sooo much.
Usually I sleep as much as possible.
If only we canmaster lucid dreaming that way we would only have one nightmare a day.

I spend the night watching things on my laptop when I realise it's like 5am and i wake up at 9am. Then the rest of the day I'm sleepy.

My sleeping schedule is kinda fucked to be honest. I try to go to sleep at like midnight but I just end up laying in bed for more than 3 hours without actually falling asleep... I sleep for a few hours and wake up again lol and that's pretty much my night. I'm too tired the whole day and sometimes randomly just fall asleep for a few hours.

Like ten hours a day, which is normal for me, but I think I instantly jump to REM sleep and stay in it for extended periods because I have very taxing nightmares even from 20 minute naps.

Normally 2am-9am, but my health anxiety has been out of control recently so I'm lucky to get more than 4-5 hours.

Before the pandemic I was probably sleeping around 6 hours, which is not atypical for someone my age. Would sometimes nap for an hour during the day.

As the pandemic drags on I'm sleeping more and more, can easily do 10 or even 12 hours now. I think it's mostly boredom/social isolation, my dreams are way more interesting than anything going on in real life now. Had my garden to distract me for a while, but growing season is over now; I really wonder if I'll be around to see the spring.

My sleeping pattern has been all over the place for 15 years. I have no life so I go to bed at anytime day or night and wake up the same. I can sleep from 8 hours sometimes up to 24 hours straight,

I wish I could go to sleep at night and get up in the morning like a normal person.

I've been struggling to sleep dor a while, now I've gone all the way back around to sleeping about 18 hours a day. It's not like I've got anything to do, and being awake feels horrible.

Around 4 hours a day, but very broken up. Like maybe 2 at night, and a couple naps during the day if I'm lucky. Idk what's wrong with me. I pass out almost as soon as I lay down, but within 30 mins, I'm up and can't fall back asleep.

Because of the medications I'm on, my sleep schedule is broken up in little bursts of 1.5-3 hours at a time. So at night I'll get perhaps 4 hours, and then a 2 hour nap in the middle of the day, so around 6 total hours split into 3 bursts.
