I know it depends on height and things, but if you go head first or if you do something in particular could you not survive?

How could you be sure to fall head first?

Had a friend jump off a building, broke a couple of bones, It's completely height based I think

what height are you asking about? it very much depends how you land, i heard thwre was someone who jumped 37 floors and actually survived, who knows their pshycial state though :(

Is there a typo in the thread title? "Fall of a building" sounds scary.

It's pretty likely if one doesn't immediately land on one's head and also depends on the surface (hard surface, body of water, etc.). Overall, I don't consider it to be a reliable method and also one's SI may kick in resulting in one landing on one's feet, surviving with horrific injuries and possibly permanent damage (vegetable, paralysis, etc.)

I've actually came up with a method to achieve this.
I've posted it in the Jumping From Height (Guide)
See the last two posts in the thread.

i read somewhere that if you fall directly on your head from any place 5 meters or higher is 100% fatal

The LD50 is about 15m, or four storeys. The LD90 is 25m, or seven storeys. So about 10% of people who fall from seven storeys survive - it's dangerous, but not truly reliable.

Those heights will become much lower when the head is the primary injury.

That makes sense. When I was 4 yo I fell on my shoulder and head from about 2.5 m. Broke my collar bone and fractured my scull. Somehow survived it. I guess 5m directly on my head would have finished me then already. To bad I was only injured.
