Here in Canada quarantine was a pretty chill experience at first but my girlfriend left me half way through and that's when I lost my mind and ended up on this site.

After multiple suicide attempts I took 3 months off to travel and now I'm heading back to Canada to self isolate for 14 days and I fear gravely for my mental health and I think I will try to CTB again when I'm locked up in this empty condo I have stay in before I can go home; 14 days of self isolation after months of ideation, PTSD, depression and just regular isolation will be too hard.

After that were looking at an unstable job market into winter season, and I'm not sure I can go back to work cuz I'll have to see my ex who I have PTSD about.

How's it going with you?

Feel like I've seen the site really blowing up this year.

Sorry to hear that you're dealing with a lot in terms of your mental health. It can be easy for our mental health to spiral out of control when we're isolated and alone. You're welcome to come and chat to us here if that helps.

I think covid has really fucked up a lot of people's mental health, mine included. I wouldn't be surprised if there's been a big influx of people coming on to SS because of covid. Personally, it's the hopelessness of the future that bothers me the most.

I'm already having to deal with racist bastards shouting crap at me in the streets, the economy is fucked, unemployment will be at a high, brexit etc. The future doesn't look good

I understand suicide in the UK is quite an issue, you no doubt highlight the main issues. Sorry you're involved on the worst part of it all.

Yeah no it doesn't really suck in Canada, they are mad about covid but otherwise it's a chill place to be. US is just gone bonkers though.

This was basically me for the entirety of quarantine except I also binged a lot of shows. Now I basically do the same thing.

I hardly went outside or interacted with people before covid. So nothing's changed for me, haha.

I haven't, I don't need to. Not leaving the house is heaven. Any of my woes come from before the pandemic.

I don't know if I've been coping, I didn't have a social life before 2020 struck, but I've been trying to get back in shape for the past few months and I'd say it's putting my anxiety in check. A steady resting heart rate can make quite a difference, I find.
