  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

apparently i really like to ask questions on here

question is in the title, "how does the state of the world affect your mental health"

i think in my case it depends on the day
some days im just like, "whatever, i dont read the news anyway, i dont care"
or it's: "dang, the state of the world is a bit... not great, that's really a bummer man, makes me not wanna be here as much" which, again i barely read the news
i dont stay updated on the state of the world whatsoever

i basically just live in my own tiny little bubble and hear tiny little bits of what's going on there
war, protests/strikes, etc.

[for example, a safeway that i sometimes go to is going on strike, so i wont be able to shop there but i dont got a car and it's the only store in walking distance]
which is fine

actually good for all the stores under albertson going on strike

but yeah, sometimes when i think about the state of the world i'm a bit disheartened, but not necessarily to where it'd severly affect my mental health, just a small "dang" more so

what about y'all?

[sorry for the bad grammar and all that, im tired]

the state of the world is putting an extreme mental strain on me
I am ashamed to be human
when I was a child myself
I already knew that I would not bring children into this sick world

Before attempting suicide last year, the state of the world deeply influenced my decision to die. Now, I've completely let go of this life and nothing affects me anymore. I'm just waiting for ctb supplies to come in the mail and then I'm out.

Extremely straining on the mental end and have no escape from it since am constantly surrounded by the news and hear all the crap on it. They say it's good to be informed and it's a motivator to "be grateful for what you have". Not really a good sentiment since it's constantly utilized as toxic positivity and that paired with the state of the world makes it the perfect killer.

Pretty badly, I just have to dissociate all day if I want a chance to continue. and when I don't want to continue, its the peak of my depressive and suicidal thoughts. The thought that keeps my grounded is knowing I can end it all any time I want, so then I think "does it all really even matter that the world is shit? I can just die."

Most people I know have no idea about my suicidal thoughts, but there have been times when we talk about how the world is going.

I tend to say I'll be glad I won't be around in 50 years to watch how the world unfolds, and some will agree with me, but they have no clue that I really mean I'll be glad I won't be around in 6 months.

Fuck the world.

"What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun." Ecclesiastes 1:9

History taught me that some of us love just sabotaging/fighting others despite all of us living on this one floating spaceship.

I despise everything about this world. It is a Hell Realm filled with evil and suffering. It's the reason I'm an efilist because I think the entire Earth and all the life on it should be destroyed; this, I'm convinced, is the only way to end all the suffering that happens here.

I'm really quite selfish and tend to stick my head in the sand. I don't even want to be a part if this world. I really don't want to worry about it. Overall though, it just makes me feel more eager to leave to get away from it entirely.

ב''ה,

Judaism is tasked with fixing/perfecting it all.

Figuring out what that even means by G-d's logic as recorded is wild and takes years of study.

We're fucked and He can fix it at any time or enable us to fix it at any time. Moreso my relatives can, it's complicated.

Every day I see the news of the world I just want to drive myself sooner to suicide. I think I just need to wait and see on this one

It doesn't really affect me. The world has always been shitty. You can't change it. It's not in anyone's ability to change the world. You get what you get.

I don't really have the capacity to feel joy. I can, however, feel sad. Yay me.

If I can change and start to feel normal, hell I don't even wanna feel happy, just be normal. If I can do that at some point I'll just live my life till the end.Or till my health is good.
