Hanging is my go to method. How do I find that one spot where I wont be disturbed? I was thinking of going in the middle of a small forest nearby and do it when its night time and everyone goes to sleep for work/school. I don't want to go out in the middle of a dark scary forest, but I think I have to do it this way since its my best shot of not being discovered. What do you guys think? Any advice?

If hanging is your method, and you have no place other than a dark forest at night to exercise your method, so as not to be disturbed and possibly have your attempt thwarted, I think your plan sounds perfectly reasonable to me. I'd certainly do some reconnaissance during daylight hours so you know exactly where to go at night and are comfortable reaching your destination in the dark. I guess you'd have to pick out a tree with a suitable limb that you can access relatively easily to secure the rope. What do you plan to stand on? Or, do you plan to stand on a limb with the rope tied to a higher limb above you? and remember you'll have to do all the rope work at night. It may have some challenges, I suppose.

I chose a public park because I wanted my body to be easily discovered by law enforcement (I sent an email), and the only fixture I could hang from my apartment was the door. I was uncomfortable with doing that, and the more I thought of it, I did not want those who knew me to discover me.

My problem is I stupidly did it at 6:30 am and did not account for the height of the branches. The ones that looked appealing were too tall for me to reach. I drove to a gabezo when a car pulled up. Of course, this tree was reachable, but just barely. The ligature was too loosely tied to the branch. Nothing broke, but my ligature loosened until I dropped to the ground and there was not enough pressure on my neck for the noose to constrict my airways. As I had already told the police where I was, I scrammed out of there and went to er to check for damage in case they were on there way. The psych ward sucked. But it's the risk you take.

I still will choose hanging if I decide to ctb (I'm trying for recovery currently) and a forest or park will be my location. I will certainly make sure to go around 2-4 am and test the heights of the branches as that was my error.

Search for potential sites using Google or Apple satellite imaging services!
Look for mixed forests and deciduous trees, as you can see on the satellite images!
Use the surveying tools on the pages to determine the distance to buildings, paths, etc.
Ideally, you do this on a live PC system that is booted from a CD.
You visit selected points in daylight in a relaxed, attentive manner. Can the trees be climbed without any aids? Are the trees still alive and does a particular branch support your weight? You can hang freely? Look at forest visitors and how many there are. Search for surrounding backup solutio On the designated day, wear camouflaging clothing and avoid any radio technology you carry around with you.

Avoid public parks, city parks... !

Thanks for this. I scouted through the Google Satellite and found a pretty deep forest near me. Will go scout through it sometimes this upcoming week. There is an off road that travels through this forest that most people take through the day to hike/bike. I'm curious how long should I walk from that road in order for it to be safe?

Depends on the nature of the forest, terrain and visibility. I would at least keep a few hundred ft away from the next trail.
To permanently disappear (until my decomposition is complete), several miles!

Good night
