I FUCKNIG SWEAR I CANNOT DO THIS! I'M TRAPPED IN THIS HELL. I HATE THIS FUCKING BODY FOR GIVING ME THIS CHRONIC ILLNESS, AND NOW IT HAS THE DECENCY TO ACTIVATE THAT INSTINCT THAT MAKES ME WANNA STAY ALIVE. FUCK IT ALL. FUCK IT ALL. FUCK IT ALL.

end rant.
I drank an entire bottle of wine and still couldn't do it. How do people even overcome their survival instinct?

I totally understand feeling trapped. It's pure torment. I'm experiencing it myself. I just wanna be dead. I hope you find peace

I think once a person musters the courage and kicks the stool they commit to it no matter how painful it gets

It's a tough method to pull off. I can speculate as to how people do it, like being in a psychosis, or being powerfully motivated by emotion, or being backed into a metaphorical corner with no other way out, or perhaps being extraordinarily brave. But the fact of the matter is, hanging is a physical method, and it involves a significant body envelope violation. The lizard part of your brain is going to recognize the danger you're putting yourself in, and it's not gonna let you do it.

I tried to go by hanging for well over a year and a half before I finally admitted to myself that I couldn't do it. I ended up switching to SN, since it's easier to just drink a liquid than intentionally drop your weight into a noose or kick a stool over and hang like a bulb, among other pros for SN. Plus, hanging is quite a brutal method physically. It's quick, sure, but it is very rough on your neck and its machinery. Autopsy reports of the hanged show some pretty heavy damage, and for myself, I couldn't bear to do that to myself.

So please do not beat yourself up over it (I know this probably isn't helpful to hear though). A lot of people try hanging, because it sounds really good on paper. Cheap, accessible, quick. But it's a bit too good to be true. I truly admire those who can actually pull it off.

I understand feeling so trapped in this existence, it's so cruel to me how it's so difficult to be permanently free from all the suffering this existence causes, personally all I hope for is to never exist again, I find it so painful how I cannot just peacefully die. But anyway I hope that you eventually find what you search for.

Completely agree on everything you say. It is very hard to pull off.

How painful? Plan well and eliminate the pain.
All methods depend on you really needing to go. That is really the only way anyone gets it done.

But how eliminate the pain ? That's a real question. Do you have an answer, please ? Thank you.

It is not so much about painm but about he brutality under which the survival instinct is activated, and traps you in existence. I feel that my autism also contributes quite a bit to my feeling more fear through inhibition.

Fear is fear. Do it correctly and you only have a few seconds to worry about it.
Watch videos. Some react and some just hang there until they pass out. Attitude might be a factor.

Yeah, I need to do it better next time. Do you got any videos? I will start meditating more to get rid of fear, to see it such as it is, as you say 'fear is fear'. It is just an emotion. A complicated one, but one that has to be overcomed.

Il ne s'agit pas tant de douleur que de brutalité sous laquelle l'instinct de survie s'active et vous enferme dans l'existence. Je pense que mon autisme contribue aussi beaucoup à ce que je ressente plus de peur par inhibition.
SI is extremely strong with complete hanging, and I'm afraid that pain is terrible too. Hanging is an option I want to keep in mind, but I don't know if I would be able to do that. And it's a problem for me. I would like to have an idea to lose consciousness just before falling, once the rope is correctly placed around my neck. But no idea comes to me in the way it would work. Feel lost.

une femme a inhalé du gaz poussiéreux et s'est évanouie dans un nœud coulant et est décédée.
mais je ne sais pas à quelle vitesse on reprend conscience en l'inhalant. et je ne recommande rien !! je partage juste
Thank you !

I don't know, honestly. I mean, Kate Spade used a scarf. Robin Williams used a belt. It must be a matter of will and method. I'm scared to try it, to tell the truth.
