I see a lot of goodbye and tribute posts, I was just wondering how anyone confirms that someone has actually CBT'd therefore deleting their account.

I'm assuming those that left final messages but changed their minds/survived feel a sense of shame or embarrassment and just make a new account?

I'm just curious, sorry if anything I said came across as insensitive.

They don't have a way of confirming it.

I've seen posts about this but don't remember the details. Some folks self-ban, some folks ask the mods in their goodbye threads to ban them if they don't log back in after the attempt. Not sure if the mods automatically do that if the user didn't request it.

There's also a forum list of threads here for people making petition for the mods to unban them, for many different reasons, the attempt didnt work, they changed their mind, they simply wanted to leave the forum but decided to come back or whatever else. Also there's no need to feel ashamed for a failed attempt or for changing your mind or for anything, if anyone can understand that it will be us❤️
