How do I get the metal cap off N?

I pulled the little plastic lid off but I can't get the metal seal or rubber stopper off. It's a glass jar so I don't want to break it. Help, please.

Slide a knife blade in between the metal seal and rubber stopper and wiggle it till it opens up. Then you need to work it around until the metal seal pops off.

Quick question- have you decided to consume the N fully? If you just want to sample a few ml for testing / taste - use a syringe and push it through the rubber stopper and pull out how much ever you need.

The rubber stopper will reseal and preserve your N

Use nail scissors to cut down vertically through the seal all the way. Then pop it off.

No. You can take the cap off, or use a syringe to take out some of the N. The rubber will reseal itself up to 50 times. They extract N with a syringe all the time at the vet's office. It doesn't degrade the N. The N will only be exposed to air if you remove the rubber completely.

Do I try to put the needle in the same puncture hole as the 1st time I do, or can I just stab at random if I extract more than one?

If you extract more than one sample, you make a new puncture hole each time.
