Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

Wow, some of you people are bold, I'd never have dared to search for anything explicit like "how to hang myself". Even less explicit terms like "poisonous plants" had me worried, when I was looking for books about them. Needless to mention, I'd never trust an AI to mention anything even vaguely hinting at suicide.

I think it's all for the better that I've been banned from Facebook! This is a much better place for me than Facebook; here we're all in the same boat somehow, in a similar dark place; I might still make some friends while I'm here and I don't need to worry that they'll be all too hurt when I'll eventually be gone because here everyone is expecting that it may happen. šŸ–¤

I did a general search for the subject and found an article that did a deep dive into the contents of this website. They even went through people profiles to see peoples activity to determine if they did "it" They were totally being invasive and nosy and trying to find somebody to blame. Personally, I dont think there is anybody to blame, I think a lot of people are in pain and they get tired of using all their preventative methods such as calling the one eight hundred numbers that usually pop up when you search for the subject. It gives a realistic and much needed take on what and how to proceed or not. Its a realistic resource and allows people to discuss freely and I really do just appreciate that.

I found this forum thanks to that article from The New York Times. It's pretty ironic that they want to get rid of this website to reduce suicides, but they also straight up mentioned the website name in the article.
This site is peak harm reduction when it comes to those looking to CTB, those looking to connect, and those looking to actually get better. Why do they always omit that we literally have a recovery forum where people can, you know, look for advice on how not to be suicidal, ultimately reducing the risk of suicides???

And while there are actual suicide prevention websites that people can go on instead of forums, I think suicidals would much rather hear from other suicidals (not ones who used to be for a little while or who are faking being pro-life) on how to deal with suicidality rather than non-suicidals. Most times advice from non-suicidals and pro-lifers is the equivalent of an ADHD person venting about their struggles and the non-ADHDer going, "Just use a to-do list! Just get up and do it!" Like... if only I hadn't tried to exercise and eat healthy, what a novel queer suggestion (sarcasm)!

And people on here are just nice. Like, there's little drama. Little bullshit. Little advertisements and censorship of these topics. No rage-bait. No curated algorithms to get you addicted. You can just talk and someone will chime in and have actual discussions instead of platitudes that end discussion. SaSu is personally my favorite website aside from the incels/femcels coming on here being like "I DONT HAVE A PARTNER IM SO STUPID IM GONNA END IT." But that's not my discussion to have, so I just keep scrolling.

That's why I think SaSu is so popular: you can have actual discussions without thought-ending comments. You can choose what you wanna see. You can vibe, you can debate in healthy ways. It's fucking amazing.

I discovered the forum around 2022-2023, I heard someone's story from the forum (that person later ended up in prison). I spent years looking for him until I found him last year,I don't remember what my first impression of the site was

Don't recall how I came across it. But initially I found it to be like a c*ck show of people seeing who can be the most depressed and miserable. Then more posts about methods and support.

Speaking from a new account, I found it through Tantacrul's video a while back, too! Just worked up the courage to start posting myself. Honestly, bringing more attention to it was probably the worst thing he could've done for any depressed viewers, lol. Curiosity sure did kill the cat, in my case.

I think the first time I browsed this site, I cried. I didn't want to become what I am now, but I think it was always inevitable :3

I found this website a few years ago after watching a youtube vid. They didn't mention the name of the website so I was searching around until I found it. Honestly all I did was look at the methods and I thought it was kind of creepy out many methods were listed on the site and how in depth it was. I left the site and didn't think about it. Fast forward to a few months ago things changed and now I'm here lol.
