I found it because an online friend of mine, who is also suicida,l mentoined it, but before that I've never heard of it. (Which is weird, because I've been suicidal for a really long time and googled a lot of things related to it...) How did you guys find it?

while searching for specific cbt resources and how to's through alternative browsers.

google restricts a lot of information regarding cbt and popular communities are not usually aloud to explore cbt in such details as done here.

personally even though I am a member of said groups I never even thought of mentioning this place. It could benefit an user or another, but at the same time I'd be risking exposing the forum, which I do not want. Part of the reason why this works, I think, it's because of its "secrecy".

I found it after I was googling how to hang myself. I think I found a website called lostallhope first and then I found SS.

I was googling If meds I had at the time were fatal enough, and this site came up. Glad it did my plan was dumb.

I was looking into a specific method, and either it or follow up search led me here. Opened several sites that day and didn't really pay too much attention to SS. Thought it was just a run of the mill suicide help forum at first. I kept the tab open though and after a few days looked into it again. Not only did I see people openly discussing suicide and methods without censorship, but could very much relate to the stories and thoughts being told. Felt right at home after 25 years of self isolation with no one to connect to in reality, and so I signed up.

When I was Googling methods I came across LostAllHope which then lead me to here. I wish I'd known about it a lot sooner. I lurked for a while before signing up out of nerves I think.

That's how I found it too. I can still find this place with the same web search. I've been a part of communities like this since the internet first started though. This isn't my first rodeo as they say, but it's definitely the best.

Funny thing is, I became a member there before I found this site, but something about it never felt right (mostly because of the censorship). I've been trying really hard to describe it without actually saying the name, but... fuck that forum. No one has been able to understand me as well as the people here.

Also, the journey!

It kind of went like this: "Ooh, life sucks" ----> Lost all Hope.com -----> Peaceful Pill ----> "Fuck, I can't join until I'm 50 and I got... 24 years left to go!" ----> suicideforum.com ------> "I'm gonna try to be pro-life now." ----> "Fuck the censorship, where's the pro-choice version?" -----> SS Subreddit (but discovered it was dead) ----> Then I typed sanctioned suicide into google and I was here!

Just want to mention that this is the shortened version with a little humor inserted into it, but it's still accurate.

I have been interested in carbon monoxide, but one needs a lot of knowledge to avoid serious permanent brain damage. I made Google search with words: formic acid, sulphuric acid, carbon monoxide. I found a thread from this forum. There was such a good information that I immediately made several Screenshots.

Later I found out, that purchasing of concentrated formic acid and concentrated sulphuric acid is very difficult in this island as a private person. I will continue studying another method including oxalic acid and phosphoric acid, which are available even here. Certainly the reaction temperature must be high, but must not reach oxalic acid boiling point of 157 Celsius. I guess 110 Celsius might be close to right reaction temperature. I am not a real chemist, but I am willing to further studying and making experiments once I have time. My situation is far from urgent.

I found this site after watching the bbc documentary after a ex member who used this site to kill herself. After google for couple of hours different methods to die from this site popped up
