I'm curious about what lead you to this site

Personally, I was looking for methods on reddit and someone mentioned SS and A.S.H so I went looking for both of those. I really liked the community so I kept coming back here.

Was searching for means of suicide on google and I came across it. I never knew what partial hanging was before this site. And honestly I thought I mind find some links to some cheap darkweb death cocktails. And the site opened my eyes to how so many methods could be unreliable.

I also found it through reddit. Last spring or summer it was still listed in their resources thread. I don't think it's there anymore.

I was researching suspension trauma, aka harness hang syndrome where construction workers die in their harness after being suspended for a period of time (the fall isn't necessary, they die simply from being suspended). Then I typed in suspension hanging and found this site, it was in about August as well.

I found this website while i was searching how to hang myself and I came across NoLifeNoPain's thread.
For me it was a surprise that a website like this could even exist in the clearnet, since at least here where i live some prolifer would immediately contact the authorities for instigation to suicide.
We have not free speech in Europe, at least not free as Americans'.

I have lurked in the darker recess's of the interwebby since some genius thought the greatest way to access a world of knowledge was to invent the www only for some other idiots to turn it into a very narrow way of viewing the world through 'social' media. Thank god all the good of the first idea still exists if only you go looking.

I believe I was looking up certain words, suicide, methods, sites that tell you how to kill yourself, etc. Found it through the same site @Sasha did. The only other website that gave me more detailed methods I knew before was lostallhope.com.

I was using ASH 15 years ago. Have followed the community on and off ever since. Through secret Usenet groups, across facebook and Reddit.
Of the ASHers I keep in touch with, usually one or two of us keep track of where things are at.

I was reading some rules on r/2me4meirl. They said that we can't discuss methods and it isn't r/sanctionedsuicide. I couldn't find that subreddit, but eventually googled it and found this website.

I found this place after evil reddit has banned the SS subreddit along with it's sister subreddit TSS. For a while, I lingered around TTG but then last summer, being frustrated at the bullshit around, the quarantines of more pro-choice subreddits including the banning of FTG, I found this site, which is my haven.

I was sold when I found that this site allowed open discussion about suicide (none of the platitudes, guilt-tripping, pro-life rhetoric and bullshit), and did not censor people from talking about suicide and death. Furthermore, the main reason I came was the open discussion about methods. To this day, I do not know of many other forums that are as active, easy to use, and supportive as this one and allows discussion about suicide methods.

Thus, this is OUR home.

Googled ways on how to commit suicide then I found an article about a father who hanged himself or something, it said he visited this site before (Well I don't know if it was this site, it just mentioned sanctionedsuicide so it could have been talking about the dark web one), I googled the name of the site and found this.
