• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

So I got hospitalized last December, and as of now, my family is still trying to deal with the bills.

We managed to get the ambulance bill ($600+ USD, by the way) forgiven but now we still have to deal with the psych ward bills and the ER bills...the former of which is particularly hard to deal with because they're stupid hard to contact by phone.

Worst part? All of this adds up to $18k+ USD. I feel horrible that I made my family deal with such a large bill. This isn't the first time we had to deal with it, but the fact that we even have to deal with it at all is what's getting me.

Failed suicide is fucking expensive, man. Next time I attempt I need to make sure I die for good and don't have to be hospitalized at all. Because I still can't bear to be alive, no matter what.

Know the money aspect all to well.

One stay in the psychic ward cost me over $57,000 (USD).

Hugs and love to you with abundant sunshine.

I'm so sorry. It's already difficult to die as it is, let alone be financially punished for an attempt.

You don't have to pay the bill if you were involuntary committed. Sue the facility before it goes into collections. It's nothing to worry about.
