Took some lorazepam. Then decided to go out for halloween and drank heavily. I know both slow down the central nervous system, breathing, and heart rate until they can stop. I'm sleepy. hope it happens in my sleep

I afraid this is very unlikely. Mixture of benzos and alcohol can cause unpredictable symptoms but rarely leads to death. Rather you'll end up waking up in a psych ward. Potential organ damages or traumatic experiences from the psychiatrists might make your life worse. If you're feeling like avoiding the terrible but likely scenario rather than betting on the small chance, please call your local emergency service immediately. And explain the OD as an accident and never mention your suicidal ideation in order to avoid forcible psychiatristic treatment for suicidal patients. I understand this is not what you want to hear. I'm sorry.

I've heard about this exact combination lorazepam (Ativan) and alcohol (whisky) from a recreational user looking for fun combinations.
Apparently he just woke up in his own vomit with no memory of what happened, he complained it wasn't fun at all and we must all seek other combinations.
(note: looking for 'fun' by combining random drugs is insane and i do not condone this behavior)

I doubt anything you want is going to come from that alone. They're used as ways to calm your CNS down / disinhibit yourself before taking that final leap, so to say. Chances of leaving from that alone is terribly low. Chances of surviving and in a state you wish you weren't is far greater.

i once took ~15 bars of xanax with a friend and (allegedly) had a drink. not an attempt, just impulsiveness and being a dumb teenager. nothing happened except i didn't remember *anything* from that night and felt like shit for a week.

Thank you everyone for the information. I am awake and physically fine. This wasn't an attempt at all. I took the lorazepam for a panic attack, then shortly after decided I wanted to go out. I just had the silly fleeting thought that I hope a 1% miracle happens and I die in my sleep, but I knew it wouldn't happen. Thank you all for your concern and info.

The ld50 for most benzos independently is quite high in terms of mg/kg. Even mixed with alcohol, you'd need to consume a fuck ton of both. Maybe mixed with other substances you'd have better odds. Generally its extremely unlikely to have a lethal OD on just alcohol and a singular prescription medication.

Any plans that involve anything happening "randomly" will likely be a bad plan and fail. I feel like this is true in all things, not just trying to catch your bus.

It wasn't a plan. I just happened to take lorazepam because I thought I wasn't going to go out to drink. But I did, and I was nervous about the interaction, but thought it would be nice if my body couldn't take it even though the chance was very low.

I have my SN plan and materials ready in detail.
