I've driven trucks that are about 26ft and know truck drivers that do the bigger 16-wheeler.
The chance of you dying depends a lot on the truck driver and timing it correctly. Not only that, but you also risk hurting or killing others by creating an accident that would likely cause a pile-up. And, along with traumatizing the truck driver he'd likely lose his job with whatever company he drives for along with his license, which would ruin a big part of his life, because I don't think many truckers hold a Bachelors Degree, or licenses that don't have to do with driving.
