Do you think 75 metres (246 feet) is high enough for a jump? Beneath is water. People have been successful jumping from this place but do you think its high enough? Or should find somewhere else?

In regards to water I've read that it should be at least 250 feet. The estimated fatality rate is 95-98%. 246 feet will probably suffice, unless you're very unlucky. Unfortunately, like all methods you never can know for sure until you've tried. Some people have lived after jumping from the Golden Gate Bridge, which is about 250 feet, while others have died jumping from only 7 stories.

If there are any boulders in the water it would be best to try and aim for landing on them head first. If you don't die from impact, you more than likely will be unconscious when landing and die from drowning.

This is the bridge I'm hoping to jump off. Hopefully it'll be high enough. I'll make sure I dive off head first!

The Humber Bridge near me is only 30m / 98 feet above the water , since it was opened in 1981 200 people have jumped and only 5 have survived .

I must say you chose a beautiful place. That's quite a view. Hopefully it works out for you.

Here's more info if you need it: http://lostallhope.com/suicide-methods/jumping-high-building

Thank you, I hope so too!

The only problem I have is the barriers in place to try prevent people from jumping... yeah. Not even a problem really. Looked at a lot of pictures, the "barrier" is pathetic, people still get over it and I'm sure I will too. If I have to, I'll visit the bridge a few days before I plan to jump just to have a look around. If I cant climb over them, at the ends of the bridge theres gaps you can easily get through to get on the outside of the bridge. All I'd have to do is climb the outside to the middle and just let go. So yep, I've thought it through!

It's definitely a good spot. Clifton Suspension Bridge is beautiful and on a nice day it's one of my favourite places. There's also a fantastic pub just by there for a few drinks for Dutch courage.

One thing I will say is that it is typically fairly busy there, especially during the day, but I think if you are set on it, it's a good spot to ctb.

Yeah, it is a beautiful place, main reason why I picked it and its only 40 mins away so that's ideal! Definitely will pop into the pub for a few before I do it, might help with SI too.

Its really comforting to know I've got my place picked though... I cant explain the feeling
