Hi there. I'm a lurker who has just gotten around to registering. I'd like to say thanks to everyone for what they share. It's valuable and has really helped me reflect on my own journey in this godforsaken world of ours, and made me more aware of options. I'd also like to share a poem. The poet is Sara Teasdale who died by suicide in 1933. It has been meaningful to me for many years. It's entitled 'I Shall Not Care' and it was published in 1915 in her collection 'Rivers to the Sea'.
When I am dead and over me bright April
Shakes out her rain-drenched hair,
Tho' you should lean above me broken-hearted,
I shall not care.
I shall have peace, as leafy trees are peaceful
When rain bends down the bough,
And I shall be more silent and cold-hearted
Than you are now.
When I am dead and over me bright April
Shakes out her rain-drenched hair,
Tho' you should lean above me broken-hearted,
I shall not care.
I shall have peace, as leafy trees are peaceful
When rain bends down the bough,
And I shall be more silent and cold-hearted
Than you are now.
