Even in leaving, he exerted his pressure on society. And I KNOW that hurt.

That takes a lot of heart.

Harry Moore fought to save the World from Evil and when he needed them they failed him, for all the good he did in his life, the poor family had to watch him suffer to the end.

A Hero to the last, I will play this song as a tribute as he was a superhero, when people read his story they will be outraged, knowing he had such a terrible end after all he did for Queen and Country.

Exactly. No one would dream of making an old dog starve to death for weeks on end to end its misery, yet we do it to our own elderly. This keeping someone alive at all costs even if they're over 100 and begging for death is a sickness in society.

Animal euthanasia is taken as a matter of course but human euthanasia is a giant controversy. People who accept animal euthanasia but nothing for humans say allowing it for humans would cheapen human life. They don't realize it's their position that does that.

The only argument I hear against it is that their families could pressure them into it so they can cut down on medical costs or speed up their inheritance. I don't get why a few rounds of 1 on 1 sessions with doctors and other professionals couldn't weed out the ones being taken advantage of. I suppose they could lie to the doctors, but that's still a rational choice the person is making and not wanting to leave your family with thousands of dollars of debt just to last a few more weeks or months is a perfectly valid reason to want to end your life imo.

The only argument I hear against it is that their families could pressure them into it so they can cut down on medical costs or speed up their inheritance. I don't get why a few rounds of 1 on 1 sessions with doctors and other professionals couldn't weed out the ones being taken advantage of. I suppose they could lie to the doctors, but that's still a rational choice the person is making and not wanting to leave your family with thousands of dollars of debt just to last a few more weeks or months is a perfectly valid reason to want to end your life imo.

The UK has the National Health Service. I don't know about you, but I have absolutely no faith in Government bureaucracies.

I understand both sides of the argument, on this one... and I can't help but consider the potential consequences when a citizens' views no longer are "politically expedient" for whichever party is currently in power. If you think society has somehow moved past such barbarity, there are a few million Americans who would happily spout out their opinions on their current FBI for hours. It seems that's all some do, on twitter and elsewhere.

Of course, in the UK, you have "subjects"... not "citizens". No right to bear arms, little control over body autonomy at all when you consider the recent covid fiasco. Not nearly as harsh as Australia, from what I understand... but still quite ugly. This is a sticky argument.

I can't help but admire the fact that the man was intimately familiar with life and death in ways that few are, and chose to make his end a monument for what he believed. Despite the pain. Despite the inconvenience.

He knew how to check out fast, had he wanted to.

He left his family with a legacy they could use to move society, anyway. That takes heart.

Bureaucrats like to take peoples' liberties and run with them.

Any excuse to say NO, they could have a doctor and psychologist on a one to one basis and if they see signs of coercion strike them off and say it's not happening I sincerely hope assisted suicide is legalised for when I have illnesses that are untreatable and only prolong my agony with drugs which your body soon acclimate to and need to increase the dosage and end up with serious side effects.

He acted with courage & bravery risking his life fighting in the war. Yet this country made him suffer immense pain & let him down by not allowing him to die with dignity. Can't begin to imagine how much he suffered in his final weeks. Heartbreaking.

In my eyes this man epitomises bravery.

Exactly. So many died alone, in hospital rooms separated from their families in the past two years... when loved ones were literally just a few feet away, waiting- and locked out.

My own mother in law was separated from the family, but on a ground floor room. We had to walk around the building and "post up" right outside her window.

We're a mean, rough-looking bunch.

I'm convinced it's the only reason they bothered to fix her up at all.

Well, that... and the fact they could still make another $120,000 on her with a half-assed attempt at fixing the cardiac problems their own injections caused. They could have just taken the $40,000 they get from the government for a "covid death" in their facility.

It's disgusting.

Thank you for sharing this important story of this brave bloke. I'm glad his story made it into the mainstream media for many people to read and to be disgusted by. Totally unacceptable what he had to endure and many other people in his predicament.

It's so horrific how people have to die in such awful ways in order to be free from their life. We really do live in such a pro suffering society. It really is so terrible how people don't respect the right to die and allow people to exit peacefully, even if the person is really old. There is no value in trying to force people to live and making them resort to dying a slow death.

I have the utmost respect for people who are capable of sacrificing their lives and/or comfort to make a stand for what they believe in.

I pray that I will be able to find the strength in myself when the time is right. My reasons to die aren't anywhere that justified or noble. Among other justifications, I do want to end my life for something that I value more than anything else in the world, even if it's a lost cause and wouldn't make any goddamn sense to anyone but me. I'm tired of pretending to be normal, I want to live my truth and die for it as well – even if it's delusional.

its even a heroic act and in war military, etc its used

and its normal

its only after people being indoctrinatied to see it as taboo that people change their mind



But despite all those people sacrificing to make changes it seems ironic that the society, the world would still full of madness and sometimes it seems no use of it

Wow. Even at 102 it took 8 weeks without food for him to pass. He had an incredible constitution.
