I find that scale a bit humerous to be honest. They put burning yourself alive at 95?? what's a 100 then? I'm pretty sure I can say (without having tried it) that burning alive would be 110/100 on the pain scale.

Chances are you'd die from smoke inhalation before you actually felt the flames.

In a fire maybe. Setting yourself ablaze though, I think you would feel the pain of the flames eating away at your flesh immediately. As far as I know it takes a little while for smoke inhalation to knock you out or kill you. I think your pain recepters would be gone (burned away) before that happened

Anne Askew. A condemned heretic who was burned at the stake in England in the 1500's, was said to start screaming when the flames hit her, so in her case at least, she felt the flames before the smoke inhalation had a chance of doing her in.

Definitely. Also heard of a depressed guy who swalloved acid. I can't even imagine the desperation :( It scares me beyond belief, cause I definitely see myself ending up in that desperate mindset if nothing comes around and relieves me of my suffering.

Thank you for this but honestly I don't like "lostallhope" Site, I feel like they are a bunch of prolifers that are just trying to scare suicidal people away from suicide.
Also there some illogical things about this list, for example it says Hanging takes 7 mins to die, I don't know much about hanging but I'm pretty sure it takes 15 mins to die from oxygen deprivation. Plus some other things, it says it takes more than a minute to die from a shotgun to the head, how is that even possible?! Shotgun literally blows your head away how are you gonna live for more than a minute without your brain?! Plus the pain scale seems weird to me too, I don't know I don't trust that site, ever since I found it months ago I just felt like there was something off about it and there are some illogical things on it.

Right. Well, I don't advocate the site. That's why I just took a screenshot of the methods. And you're right that it seems a little off and illogical, but this is the best source I could find.

I don't think these statistics are very accurate. I think it is very difficult to measure attempts, because it is unknown how many go unreported.

I think death rate is a bit more accurate, but even there it's possible that suicides are deemed accidents when there are no obvious signs like a good bye note.

I'm not sure if SN is included but household toxins are things like bleach. Hope this helps.

Also.. so this claims 'Auto crash' is 78% lethal which seems to conflict with opinion on this site? I could go with 78% that's worth the risk.
