My anxiety is so overwhelming that I am nauseous most of the day. My doctor prescribed a medicine called Buspirone 30 mg. It doesn't do anything for me. This is way I am considering taking my life, I can't bare this emotional pain anymore. Has anyone here have this some problem? What can I do? I can't work and can barley leave my house. I'm so tired of all of this, I can't go on living this way.

The constant anxiety and panic attacks in my sleep for close to a year now is why I'm ending my life. It's no way I will do this for another 60 years

I have the same problem, my doctor prescribed me antidepressants which don't work at all. He too gave me Benzos which are a short time relief, but can't help on the longterm :(

I'm sorry you are suffering buddy, I have had bad anxiety on and off for going on 15 years now. I have tried many things along the road so I will just mention what works for me at the moment, try finding a nootropic called Phenibut, it works like a benzo but can be bought otc in many countries. It completely wipes out anxiety for over 24 hours in most cases but does have addiction potential and can only be used two to three times per week depending on your tolerance levels.

I am nauseous most off the day too. Benzos helps but they even made it worse when I'm off them

I ordered Phenibut off the web this evening. It comes in pill form at 250 mg. How much do you take in one day to control the anxiety? I'm a big person, 300lbs.

it is also worth trying Lithium Orotate. For 11 days for me it was the best time of my life. Some people have luck with it longer term. It can take two weeks, but it can be instantly calming. Check out the reviews of this supplement on Amazon, they are impressive.

I am personally trying Tramadol tomorrow for treatment resistant depression/anxiety. I know it can be risky, but I am going to dose it low. It has something like 80 ten out of ten reviews on drugs.com for treatment resistant depression and anxiety. I am so ill with depression, I'd try anything to escape it.

It is also worth looking into Kratom and Kava. The FDA is trying to ban Kratom, but it is actually a lot safer than many prescription drugs, and some people find it very helpful for anxiety and for depression. Likewise, Kava. Used sensibly (eg not in combination with lots of alcohol or anything that is hard on the liver), and with tolerance breaks, they can really help some people.
Also, I'm not recommending - but some people get relief from Lyrica/Gabapentin. The side effects are scary, but it's a risk/benefit analysis.
There's also propanolol if you haven't tried it.

Seems like every doctor I have been to for my anxiety and panic attacks have wanted to give me antidepressants which never work. The trick is to get them to give you benzos also but just don't take the antidepressants.

Hi again, here is a link to the dosage calculator I have used with great success: https://mennohenselmans.com/phenibut-dosage-effects/

I hope it brings you some relief buddy. As I said in my first post the only caveat is that it should not be used every day and does have the potential for addiction.

Good luck..

OK, but phenibut is pretty addictive so I read. So as @2Min2Midnight says, people recommend not using it that often.

A lot of people on /r/nootropics, use ashwagandha, and other anxiolytic herbs like lemon balm, reishi, holy basil, St. John's wort etc. I've had success with mindfulness and ashwagandha, but I only get mild-moderate anxiety.

Gosh I can relate to this. I have two states of anxiety so I'll give you my own coping mechanisms and maybe you could try something similar.
1. uncomfortable anxiety all day, mildly uncomfortable in my skin a bit like having a stone in your shoe- you don't feel right but you can pass for functioning well ie get to work. Solution: get Some natural endorphins- go for a run or any exercise that getting your heart pumping for at least 30mins ideally longer. I usually then get home and have a small glass of wine or similar and spend the evening with company.

2. Smash in the face panic anxiety..pacing nausea breathlessfeel like I'm having a heart attack. Ear are buzzing and I'm in fully fledged panic mode. Take a tablet of Ativan (Benzo) and get the fuck away from all people for 20mins until the Ativan kicks in and I can get along with my day.

benzos are the best thing to have "on hand" but you shouldn't use them often because they will end up making the anxiety really bad the next day. I feel for you but go see a good doctor and see what they can do.

How long have you been on the buspar? I've taken it for anxiety in the past. It didn't work fully right away, and it also needed several dose adjustments before we found one that was effective.

Ativan is what works best for me, but I can't get anyone to prescribe it anymore. When I had cancer, they handed it out like candy, but now... nope. I had Klonopin for awhile, but I don't like it as much.

My anxiety is unbearable too. It's constant. I can't deal with this for another decade, or even another 3 years.

Have you found any relief with the Phenibut?

Buspar didn't do anything for me either.
We tried Zoloft after that, still no help.
Dr rz clonazapam to be taken prn, not daily, for worst panic attacks. It calms me within 20 minutes and knocks me out 20 after that, and it's a small dose. But it DOES work so you may want to ask.
He later tried Seroquel in a low dose, to try to get me to sleep and be overall calmer. It didn't help either I gained significant weight in just two weeks on it, lot of terrible side effects but I stayed on to give it a 'real' try. He upped the dosage and I had a severe muscle control reaction, loss of movement, partial temp paralysis. Nope said I was done.

The clonazapam I'm on is just .5 mg, very small it just hits me hard. Effect carries over some into next day. You could always ask for a small trial rx of it, maybe five pills, to see how you react and then consult with your Dr again.
Fyi for those with debilitating anxiety...
I've been reading a LOT about ketamine infusion therapy. It's supposed to be highly effective in a single session. Repeats can be beneficial. No memory impairment like ECT. Can drive yourself home.
And there's clinical trials going on right now too.
It isn't cheap. $300-500 for sessions seems about average but if you're looking for anxiety/depression relief without disturbing side effects this may be for you.
Insurance may not cover it. Google Ketamine Infusion Clinic to find a provider. Yes it's done in a medical office.

I just wrote this in one of my recently posted threads, I have severe PTSD and I've had a lot of damage done to my nervous system from multiple traumas caused by abuse and other monsters. I just saw this and thought I would paste it in here for you all as well...

not that this is a miracle cure or anything, but have you ever tried GABA?

It's over the counter no doctor or prescription needed.

You can order it off Amazon or usually find it in any organic/ natural/ holistic grocery store (like Super Supplements) in the vitamin section. It works for an average of 4 hours and has virtually no side effects, it's also a natural brain chemical that is typically depleted under chronic stress.

So it's something your brain naturally needs, and it's not medicine, it's more like a brain vitamin that calms...

I even doubled my dose and it would work actually just as well as Xanax or Ativan but Natural with no withdrawal symptoms ever.
It helps a lot and not expensive. If you ever do try, I personally recommend the powdered GABA inside capsules versus the hard pill. Just a thought to try to help you and anyone else who reads this.

Even if we all are still going to eventually catch the bus anyway, why not make it a little more physically comfortable before leaving? At least that's how I think of it.

Please be so careful for anyone who takes Seroquel,

it affected my vision And I was only on it for a couple of months, did bizarre things with memory only while i was on it, too. I read after the fact that it can actually permanently damage some people's vision if they take it for a long time. Just a heads up for everyone FYI.

My GP was throwing spaghetti at the wall. He didn't have much of a clue what he was doing but there's no psychiatry services available near here unless you're hospitalized. Nuh uhn no thanks.

They asked me to try so I did and it was awful. Never again.
