Alright so I'm going to list some things I'm having trouble working around to form an actual doable plan, along with my current thoughts (will be italicized) on them. Basically I'm looking for advice on these issues and just overall help with a plan.
1. I'm unemployed and my only income is a sort of allowance from my partners that covers my bills with maybe 20-30 leftover a month. I believe this limits me to cheaper/free methods, especially as my partners may find out about me saving money over time.
2. I don't want to scar either of my partners (especially as one has already found 2 bodies before) so I'd like to do it away from home. Two additional issues related to this is that one of my partners works from home, and I currently don't drive. I have a car and with some effort, practice, and overcoming anxiety I might be able to drive again. Mostly the issue here is finding a place away from home, gathering any needed supplies without arousing suspicion, and a decent excuse to be gone for a while. I live in a populated desert area so I think my only real option would be to find a deal on a storage unit or something as I've seen signs before for like $1 the for first month.
3. I really, really don't want to get caught doing something illegal for a method as I'm a non-passing trans person which would make jail an absolute nightmare. Just rules out a few more methods. I guess this also means it would really suck if I fail and end up on a grippy sock vacation.
4. I'm unsure as to whether I need a will or something considering I have very little of value. Also if I do need one, I'm not sure how to go about making one without my partners finding out. I guess the main reason for a will would just to make sure my bio family doesn't screw my partners over, and to make sure everyone knows it's ok to do whatever the hell they want with my body, but probably just cremate so I don't cost as much.
5. I'm a complete wuss when it comes to SI and pain. Basically just another method limiter… so something quick and/or mostly pain free. I guess I'll also ask here for any tips with SI, though I've seen it's been asked a lot so not sure if anyone has any new advice.
6. I currently don't have insurance (lost it recently) and live in the USA. I might be able to get on one of my partner's plans starting January. I'm basically concerned about causing extra work/financial burden whether I succeed or fail. I'm wondering just how costly it would be to ctb or fail, and if that burden would fall on my partners if I can't pay.
So basically, my bare bones plan so far is to write emails to be sent later, find a way to not be missed for a bit, go grab a storage unit and any supplies needed (unless there's a better idea), leave my phone on for tracking purposes so responders can find me, and then attempt. Method wise, for a long time I always thought I'd do the exit bag, but it seems to be something that would be difficult for an idiot like me to get supplies for and set up properly. Night night or partial would be relatively cheap and easy, but from testing I don't think my SI will let me, at least not yet… still would probably be my best bets. Also as a note, I think fent would be a dream but legality stops me from that one.
