Kratom was a safe option for feeling a bit of something, that I used as an aid to stop drinking/weed. Use it, don't use it.

You could try hallucinogenic mushrooms. Psilocybin is illegal, but you can pretty easily get amanita muscaria or other such amanita mushrooms. https://awakeningroots.org/ is one such seller, and amanita mushrooms are perfectly legal (most places, including all but one US state).
