80% Helium and 20% Oxygen, will I CTB using this? I got a tank worth enough 50 balloons.

Don't use that, you need a pure inert gas cylinder.

What would happen if I used it?
I think Just a really bad headache and a chipmunk voice. It's a shame too because balloon time helium is cheep, but it's "helium air" you can blame the helium shortage for that.

Yeah with 80% Helium/20% Oxygen nothing would happen.
If the proportion of Oxygen is less than that, it will cause brain damage.

Interesting..... would this be with the balloon kits that have 2 tanks. As well. ?
I'm not sure of the exact components.
1 tank helium
1 tank ( ? )
Then exit bag.
Not sure on the percentage of the tanks is that new? Tanks used to be 100%

Don't remember where I saw it now in a thread or just online.
It was a picture type instruction....
With a little story.

Nowadays most balloon helium tanks are mixed with Air. Pure Helium can still be bought from industrial suppliers but it's expensive, the supply of this gas is dwindling since it cannot be manufactured.

The most common CTB gas nowadays is Nitrogen, which has infinite supply (78.08% of the atmosphere is Nitrogen). Also the optimal flow rate of 15 LPM was determined by the EXIT International experiments using Air which has basically the same weight as Nitrogen.

lol yeah that's the typical image of the classic Helium CTB.
Nowadays with Nitrogen a regulator is needed for the optimal 15 LPM output.

For comparison's sake, the gas composition of Earth's atmosphere is mostly nitrogen and only around 21% oxygen. But that's enough for life to exist.
