  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I am alive because I just haven't found my method yet.

Whether you have freaked out, have had your attempt fail, or you mentally commit suicide, you would know that after a while you start thinking:

Is that really how I want/ed to die??

My theory is that people are drawn to, and/or deterred by, particular methods more than others but that people don't know that until they are suicidal (of course there are people who will be indifferent, it is a spectrum).

It is a shame that we can't at the very least talk about different suicidal methods outside of sanctioned suicide as a way to better understand ourselves.
When you have a method in the waiting, it creates a tremendous sense of peace that flows through you.

I know I'll find peace when I have a method ready to go. If I can't reliably get access to some of the more peaceful options, I might just get a gun and keep it in my closet. I can say its for "self-defense" if anyone asks.

I wish methods could be more openly discussed if for no other reason than we probably have a lot fewer people showing up in the ER with OTC medication overdoses. One of the reasons I stick around on this forum is to help people choose methods that have the least risk of causing them harm and actually achieving their goal.

It would be interesting to do a study of people and see how their method correlates with some philosophy of theirs, or how they think, or even whatever is driving them towards suicide.

And yes, I definitely feel more at peace having a rope ready to go whenever I am.

I agree. And I think we need to be more aware that there is a sexual component to it. I am not convinced all the accidental deaths from AEA are accidental but away to get past SI.

Yes, I am with you. I feel like my soul was uneasy for quite some time until I settled on a method. Having a choice of how to go, and when to do so, is very empowering. I just wish that all the viable ones aren't so difficult to get ahold of - far less of us would end up with a decreased quality of life that way.

I understand as I'd personally be at peace if I had the option to cease existing in an guaranteed way, I just hope and wish to never suffer ever again and I see so much cruelty in how I cannot just have a death like falling asleep permanently with the suffering and cruelty of existing seen as to force and prolong no matter what instead, I only hope for the peace of non-existence.

Tried partial and had some troubles with it. Not sure if I will try partial next time or full. I very much go off of the mental state that I am in at the time. We will see what I feel like.

Can you expand on this idea a little bit? I'm not judging. I'm very curious about this way of looking at things.

I am thinking that so called "accidents" are not really accidents but their attempt to overcome SI by reaching orgasim and then passing out.

As for sexual component - besides AEA- there is a whole subcult that combines sexuality and snuff in activities on some virtual worlds - I don't know much about it, but I know Second Life, for one, has that culture in its boundaries.
