Discussion Have you had concussions (CTE)?

I count approximately 10 concussions in my life. Some really bad ones. We see these athletes CTB due to CTE. Wondering if any of you have had concussions?

I had a cousin who had a bad one and he CTB.

Indeed I have. However I attempted ctb even before that.

I have heard Cte is known for causing suicidal thoughts.

I think this is a really interesting topic. There is a film called Concussion - as you probably know - about the doctor who made the link between the repeated brain injuries of football players and their early Alzheimer's and suicide etc. The interesting thing was that the brain damage would only show up post-mortem when the brain was in slices so was difficult to prove while the players were alive.

I have had four concussions and I do wonder about the effects that don't show on an MRI scan.

I had two as a child, with one actually having knocked me out for a bit, but I dunno if it's related to how I feel today
