Have you found a building in your area you can plausibly jump from?

I haven't.

At first, I was excited when I found a rooftop bar near me that is more than 20 stories high. (I am not providing exact heights because I don't want people knowing what buildings I'm referring to.) Then, I realized the whole perimeter of the bar was covered in plants, and I'd attract all kinds of attention running over the plants.

Today, I got even more excited when I learned that a hotel in my area had an outdoor pool over 35 stories high. To make things even better, that hotel offers day passes for non-guests to use the pool, which means I would have to only spend about $25 and wouldn't attract the suspicion that being a local resident checking into a tall hotel might attract. I was practically getting my death plans ready when I realized that their hotel rooms don't have balconies, which would eliminate the possibility that I might survive by landing on a balcony just a story or two below the roof.

Then, I decided to look at pictures of the pool area. I saw that, unfortunately, there is a wall at least 20 feet tall surrounding the entire pool area. That was the worst moment of my entire shitty life.

I live on the 9th floor in an apartment, but more than anything I'm afraid of landing wrong and not dying instantly. So I'm just gonna go with Sn instead

Isn't there also a risk of a tree or car cushioning the fall, so you just get severely injured but don't die?

Hell no... In no way I'm going to jump out of the window. Unless I have some pixie dust, or there is a furnace down below, currently in use... Why would there be a furnace right under the living quarters... or if the only alternative would be blazing flames... make no mistake of people jumping from the burning buildings... And I'm afraid of heights anyway.

Possible reasons to check into a local hotel:

1) You're suicidal & plan to bust their window & jump.
2) Your bathroom is being renovated and you'd like to have a shower & toilet that night.
3) The sale of your home just closed and you don't yet have a new place to live.
4) The exterminator just fumigated for termites & you don't want to breath toxic fumes.
5) Your house is being painted and it stinks.
6) Your hubby thinks you're in another city on business but you're really in your home town screwing your lover.
7) You're a dominatrix and you're going to be spanking a business executive that evening.
...and so many other possibilities that don't involve death.

And what are they going to do if they still think that you're an increased suicide risk? Are they going to call 911 to report a local lady staying in a 30th floor suite?

I know there was the guy in NYC who survived from the 39th floor because he fell on a car, but that's got to be about one in a million.

Anyway, I actually thought about the tree thing. There only were trees on one side of the hotel, so I was going to jump from one of the other 3 sides. Before my plans got ruined altogether when I realized there was a huge wall around the whole pool area.

I live in a quit small village lol. The tallest thing here is a windmill, so I have given up on jumping a long time ago lol.

Not a building as such. but there is a cliff that is with in driving distance from my home it is a 270 meter or 880 feet drop into the ocean. thats my go to spot. still no barriers around it yet, even though it's been used as a suicide spot.

Don't have a building however I have a bridge in sight and a guesstimate on height off the lowest point to ground would be somewhere around 300 feet. So a story being approximately ten feet I'm height that's 3o stories right?

Haven't either. This was my first prefered method of choice. I live in a big city, so there are of course plenty, but because of that, they're very secured. I spent 2 very long days looking for a good and accessible place to jump from, in vain. Max I found that I could easily access was 6 floors high in a high shopping mall but that's not quite enough and too public. I can't do hotels because I don't have money.

I booked a balcony room on the 24th floor, but couldn't jump (-$$$). My rooftop is on the 12th floor, but requires coordination with garbage collection and parked cars (projectile motion). I tried twice, but SI was too strong. I also sat on the ledge of a 9th floor parking garage roof but couldn't do it (glad I did not... too low). So I'm going with my rooftop for now...

For me jumping will be a last resort but if I was going to do that, I'd go to one of the multistory carparks in the area.

I had one back when I was in college. Since I was student I could go to my class on the top floor and there was easy access to the roof. It's hard to find a suitable one anyone which is why I look more at cliffs (nicer scenery too)
