Well, I don't know if it was something paranormal or maybe just a coincidence, but I once talked to my grandma about my mom who died four years ago. We talked about how she's better now and she's in heaven and still looking after us. At that moment, a book fell off the shelf with the title, "Greetings from beyond". We both got frightend. Idk it could have been just a coincidence. Do you believe in something like this? and do you have experienced something? I would be very interested if you have any story's.

Yes, I was recording inside an abandoned steel mill and the audio had multiple other voices. Very cool.

Sounds like a coincidence. You have to remember that our minds tend to assume causality by default. Hence why there is a cognitive bias known as the illusion of causality. It's more likely that this was just a coincidence rather than it being due to some sort of paranormal activity.

I don't believe in the paranormal. I stopped believing in that kind of stuff a long time ago. I feel like most "paranormal experiences" are really just the result of cognitive biases, flaws and blindspots in our perception, a lacking the knowledge needed to explain certain phenomena, etc.

I don't believe in the supernatural but my dreams force me to change my mind

when i have a dream about something it usually comes true in the next 48 hours

i experienced this dozens and dozens of times. it is not a pleasant experience because you know what is coming -mostly negative- and you have nothing you can do

i wonder if anyone experiences the same and/or can give an explanation

interesting... please describe..?
there are lots of examples
for example years ago i saw my grandmother dying and me getting her house
then in a week or so she died and my older brother got the house

so the details might not come true but the real incident almost always comes true

let me give another example, there is a friend of mine who is very busy. we always and always chat at night, never in the morning. today i had a dream of us chatting in the morning and when i woke up i saw his message at 12.00 in the morning.

sometimes it is about major events in my life and sometimes about lesser things like the last example.

Trivially. Unexplainable without weirdness, but trivial events.

My cat died a month ago. It was traumatic. I do a lot of programming and did all kinds of things during this month to distract myself from what happened. I wrote a fantasy name generator two weeks after her death. The first name it generated after I was done was the name of my cat. I calculated what the chances for that happening were and they were 1 in 9800, or 0.0001%. That's still more than things that actually do happen to people, like being hit by lighting, winning the lottery or dying in a plane crash, but yeah, it's incredibly unlikely. It spooked me a bit.

Well I'm psychotic so grain of salt.

I swear, the basement of my childhood home was haunted. My parents weren't well off, so they bought a really creepy, worn-down house and decided to remodel it, with the help of my family.

That never changed the fact, that that basement was creepy as hell. Not matter what they did to it, new flooring, furniture, when the lights when out and night came, no one wanted to go down there.

One time, I went downstairs to charge my phone, and I felt something staring at me. That feeling of pinpricks on the back of your neck, and somehow I could feel it's form, it's face through that. I knew it had some kind of like kabuki mask, like those japanese demon masks. It was either blue, or red, and it just stared. So I ran, and I could feel it chasing me all the way up to my room, and even behind the closed door, I knew I wasn't safe.

I was an atheist, I didn't believe in demons or ghosts back then, but after that, you bet your ass I was praying to every god in existence.

On that note, when I was a kid (like some of my earliest memories,) I would have hallucinations almost every night, about snakes, surrounding me, and I remember feeling like I was fighting something off, before eventually giving in from exhaustion. Almost like some weird kind of possession.

Then sometime after that, I woke up in the middle of the night, and I saw a ghost. A literal, gray, bearded, old man, with this drained, lifeless expression on his face.

Another hallucination I would frequently have, was like this colorful grain, like a filter had been applied through my vision, and somehow as a kid, it felt like I was looking at the presence of spirits, and I wanted to find someplace "quiet." And by grain, I mean, that filter you can apply in photo editing softwares and stuff, that rainbow, layer of random pixels.

Then, two years ago now, I had hallucinations about Satan breaking into my room, and a lot of black out, forced vision type "dreams" except it was so different from a normal dream. I felt like I was suffocating and couldn't wake up. And I would fade in and out of consciousness when they happened.

Let me know if anyone's interested in hearing the dreams.
