Have we won against the prolifers who want to shut this forum down?

I don't want to express any kind of joy or anything. But their facebook page disappeared and their twitter is now private. I know we had a thread about it. They probably imploded. However it was kind of strange. We had some of their nasty comments about individuals of this forum on screenshots and then they disappeared. I wonder what really happened. Their movement probably took a big hit. It was little bit too easy to prove their wrongdoing. I am not good in estimating how many hidden pro lifers there are on this forum. Some say the number grew in the last months. I am not sure if they ever will return on social media. However I am sure many of them still read this forum.
I could imagine the legislation will really change in the future and suicide forums get more restricted at least in some countries. They might even get what they want even if they disappeared.

I was thinking the same about myself!!!! i absolutely love them trying to post false information, as they don't know what there talking about and its easy to post the REAL facts. in fact i'm glad of the help they gave me, the more BS that got posted the more it made me want to find the truth, so thanks to them i say lol

thats because what they stand for contradicts what they actually do. Members from here have been doxxed and as a result CTB, kind of ironic that they blame people on here for helping others ctb. but then cause others anguish and suffering which ends with a person also ctb!!!!

If i was them i'd re-think my tactics as its having the opposite effect on some people. If they took more interest in the first place, perhaps people wouldn't end up being on suicide sites, but they wait till they are already here. which is a bit too late if you ask me!

Plus, they did a poll in the UK where 93% supported assisted dying for the terminally ill, with 70% supporting right to die laws. I would say the opposition is against them, even more-so if they continue to harass suicidal members that are vulnerable.

I hope they stay away. They should focus instead on the reasons why their children ctb rather than spreading lies about this forum and blaming it. This is the one place that people can talk openly about being suicidal without judgement which is greatly needed and emphasises our right to die which should be a basic human right.

I'm sure in their warped minds its ok to have collateral damage, a few people CTB because they dox them , thats fine. as long as they 'save' others. that probably entails a person suffering even more and becoming more suicidal!!! Picking and choosing who 'survives' is ok to them, obviously some people are more important than others in their eyes......i imagine thats half the reason some of their loved ones ended up here ,with that sort of attitude.

I get idiots msg me all the time ( I right that here as i know they will read this), trying to say something thats meant to scare me (it doesn't work) or thinking they are getting me giving them useful information(information thats easily available). I like to play along, they need to realise their fake BS doesn't work on everyone, were not all crazy people who can't think for themselves. it makes me laugh how they think they are so smart and they really aren't!!

yeah people talk on here openly about it, because they are made to feel its ok. they obviously don't feel they can talk to their relatives etc. thats down to them and their attitude, but they want to blame that on other people!!!

They may just be refocusing their efforts on government lobbying instead of social media posturing so it'll be important to keep in touch with what your local government is doing

I doubt they are gone.

I suspect they have gone underground because their attacks and harrassment towards people here are actually illegal and I suspect someone warned them about this given the widespread and very quick shut down.

Online harassament is a crime that is punishable by law and if convicted, the penalties can be severe. And some of what I read was pure harassment at its worst.

I wonder if they realize that by making a site "private," it isn't really private? Can't really count on anything on the internet being truly private. Just a fact.

I get that they may be angry - I really do and I understand why, grief can often come out sideways as anger. But instead of using that anger to fix an incredibly flawed health care system (mental and/or physical), they have used it to hurt those who are already extremely hurt. What they have done will not help anyone, and in fact, my further harm not only people here but their "cause."
