Has someone else seen your self-harm scars or cuts?

As the title says, has someone ever seen your cuts or scars, whether because you showed them or by accident? If so, how did they react?

Lately, I've been having nightmares where people notice my scars and find out that I self-harm. When that happens, I always wake up feeling extremely anxious and uncomfortable, so I figured I'd ask if something like that has ever happened to you people.

My partner saw them. He was not happy. I just looked at him and was like "what the fuck are you going to do about it?" because there is nothing he can do. I am an adult and I can make my own choices and he can either live with them or get the fuck out of my life (which he will not because I am his meal ticket).

Even if someone else saw them, I would not feel any shame about it. I am in a terrible mental place and self-harm is how I cope. If people do not like it maybe they should work on improving society so people like us would not have to get to this point.

Then again, I have never been one to back down from showing people the more ugly parts of life.

One time my aunt who never ever sees us or calls, nothing, whatever, but I'm with my grandma on the island and she meets up with are aunt aka my grandmas daughter and I guess she thought Itd be appropriate to pull up my sleeves when I was 14 I believe and we were in the middle of a public mall food court and shes just sitting there and leans over fast and asks me if I cut myself, at this point I haven't even said anything because because she did that she was questioning my dark clothing.

But the incidents only get worse through the years it seems.

My younger brother did, but he's 9 and doesn't realise what that is i guess, i didnt show my scars to anyone else (and the brother saw them by accident sigh)
i NEVER want to show my scars to anyone, i dont want to be judged, or moralised.
i already admitted that i self harm to a girl i like and she was mad and told me to "never do it again cause im too pure" and uh i didnt stop, its not that easy man...

kInd of? during a time when things were really bad and I was just starting to use self harm as a coping mechanism

tl;dr: do not self harm in public places and if you do make sure to wear socks or stop the bleeding or wear a bandaid or something

Spoiler: random old story that could be a lot shorter

I was going to a hospital out of town to visit someone and at this entrance there was a security guard and they want you to leave your items there or they search through them or whatever although all I needed to do was use the restroom so I did that got through and then went to the bathroom I actually did have to pee but also I was upset about something earlier and harmed myself

and before I walked to this entrance and the restroom the cut wasn't bleeding or anything

so I thought I was fine

after I used the restroom and washed my hands and walked back to the entrance I came in from and got my items back, I waited to meet someone else I came with to get back from the restroom

waiting in the same area as the security guards

then I felt something cold all of the sudden running down my ankle and I looked down and it was blood so I was hoping they (security guards) wouldn't notice it but I ended up looking a bit shifty because I was paranoid that they would see and then I would end up in some ward out of town of all places

the person I am waiting for still hasn't shown up yet so I try to calm down and avoid eye contact with the security guards although I had a feeling they were looking at me or noticed the blood which was visible as my pants were slightly above my ankle because I pulled them up too high I guess as I rushed out of the bathroom

so then my other plan in case someone asked was that I didn't know I randomly got my period or was leaking

but I didn't get stuck there or have to pretend I was on my period and started leaking because the personal I came with and was waiting for finally showed up

? I guess my walk to the entrance and also to and from restroom made the area (calf) start bleeding again ?

I mean my body is covered in 25 years of scars that are hard to miss. Nowadays people dont really say much. People in my life know. I do try and hide fresh wounds, but with scars idgaf

;; my mom and a couple of my friends definitely saw them, the friends just try to make me stop by scolding me or whatever they think they're doing and mom told it makes her sad so asked me not to do that for now. i've whined to her about sh before but she says didn't remember that.

I walk around normally with a ton of scars all over , I've learned to not care what people think of them. Chances are I'll never see them again so why should I care .

Basically i work as a waiter and cbfed to always wear long sleaves so customers see, i haven't really noticed them staring at all tho. one of my coworkers tell me off whenever she sees new cuts and another of them was like. "you're cuts look cool, did you like make them yourself?" "I think they make u look like an anime character"
Then there r the fetishists who are attracted to my sh scars.
