I thought I would ask this question because it's quite rare I get to speak to people who have had near death experiences.
When I was 20 I took an OD which resulted in cardiac arrest. I was found in time to be saved. But I did stop breathing and my heart did stop. I don't remember much about this time except that I knew, and had accepted, that I was going to die and there was nothing I could do about it. I was scared, a deep visceral fear that I cannot describe fully.
But then, right at the end. I remember getting flooded with loads of 'good' feelings and endorphins. All of a sudden it didn't matter that I wasn't going to get to do some of the things I wanted to. Or that I wouldnt say goodbye to my mam.
Ever since then death hasn't frightened me cause I feel like at the very last moment, it's all going to feel really good.
I woke up from a coma a few days later. I wondered if anyone had experienced anything similar.
