has anyone ever tried dry ice before? LF things to keep in mind

i have a quiet <9m2 bathroom and the option to deliver me 10 or 20kg 3mm pellets on amazon.
Under 5 hours without too much shivering i hope. Am doing further research RN. tell me if there are things i have not considered yet like if i risk coming under scrutiny during the delivery process or unwanted effects inside the bathroom. Are 10kg enough to do the job with certainty?

Way back when before I went to college from the age of 18 to 24, I worked with dry ice, liquid nitrogen and the like, it is VERY nasty stuff and dry ice can give VERY nasty burns on the skin, like liquid nitro does.

I care about you deeply and I would never ever want anyone to even think down this road, nasty stuff all around.

to reconsider my entire approach to the future, aka choosing life, i would need to be given year long mentorship, financial opportunity beyond anything that i can obtain myself. someone would need to waste basically >100k just for the benefit of a stranger.

Are 10kg enough to do the job with certainty?

Sublimation of 10 kg dry ice should produce approximately 5 m³ gaseous CO₂ (10000 g / (44 g/mol) * 22.4 L/mol ≈ 5 * 10³ L at 0 °C and normal atmospheric pressure). The average concentration of CO₂ would exceed 30% (which is known to produce narcosis somewhat quickly) as long as the enclosing volume is ~16 m³ or less. Since cold CO₂ is noticeably denser than air, its concentration at the floor will be higher than that at the ceiling. It's difficult to tell how much though. I think, the calculations would be much easier if you fill a plastic bag instead of a relatively big room. In general, CTB in a room with dry ice is definitely possible.

Look, I dont want to sound mean either. I am just in a bleak position where i desperately need real world help that i neither will afford nor "deserve" in some abstract manner. Every single help offer i have seen both from the system and the individual in europe still is a quid pro quo.

it turns into carbon dioxyde at room temperature. seems more responsible to me than experimenting with fire/smoke. in my imagination i could order takeout, watch a movie and relax for a couple hours...

Sublimation on air can be slow, and if you plan to stay in the room during this process, inhaling air with a gradually increasing CO₂ concentration can be very unpleasant. In order to achieve minimum distress, inhalation of CO₂ should be commenced when its concentration is 30% or above.
