Yes. I've been to a few of my local train stations and just sat there. I got too worried the method would fail because the trains always seemed too slow to kill. I think SI would also be too strong for me as you have a very small window to jump. And I'd feel bad for the driver (although when my head is in a bad place I don't really consider stuff like that).

Yeah but it's a pretty heavily discouraged method here for a few reasons...
- Risk of failure leading to permanent brain damage, dismemberment, etc
- You'd have to lay down with your neck on the tracks to avoid the above, which is a bit horrifying and not easy to do without being caught or SI taking over
- Trauma to the driver, paramedics, and passengers
- Absolutely bloody terrifying and very violent

So infuriating how every method has a risk of brain damage/paralyzation.

Not good, high rate of SI. I've considered it but even then in the best case scenario would be extremely painful and gruesome and I don't want to force underpaid railway workers to scrub bits of my corpse off the tracks.

My golden rule is that it minimises impact to others, which pretty rules out things like jumping from height (where a member of the public will find you on a pavement/road), or jumping in front of a train (which will cause significant trauma to the driver).

Of course all methods will result in some level of impact, ultimately someone has to discover your body etc. but at least I can minimise this.

That method sounds so terrifying to me, but I do admire those who had the courage for it and managed to succeed. But somehow this method going wrong and leading to damage sounds absolutely horrific.

It's not something I've considered, especially after thoroughly investigating what can happen to drivers. In some countries they even receive a short vacation with pay if they run over someone, in the long term many manage to deal with it thinking that the person they run over wanted to leave and were fully aware of what they are doing, but many other drivers they don't make it and their lives collapse due to guilt, they are the first to understand that they can't stop the train in time.

I know how horrible grief related to guilt is and I don't want anyone else to go through it.

It seems like an unnecessarily brutal way to go.

I want to minimise the negative impact on everybody involved if the time comes. I don't want to do it in a public place, I don't want there to be massive physical trauma to my body, so that my family will be able to view it in the morgue and I don't want a family member to be the one who finds me dead.

I once considered barricading the door to my house, calling the police to inform them of my plan, then hanging myself. My thinking was by the time they get there and were able to breach the door, I'd already be dead. That way my body is found almost immediately and I'm not laying there for a considerable amount of time before someone checks up on me.

I've thought about it, but I don't want to make somebody clean that up. If I do die, it'll be through gas, N, or SN

Brutally violent. Can't stand loud noises. Hell no. I vaguely recall hearing that train drivers have a high percentage of PTSD because of train suicides. I just can't knowingly do that to a stranger.

Absolutely not, there was a suicide of this type near my house a few months ago and while I was not there at the time it was recorded, his screams of pain make me wince even now.

That was my original plan before I settled on using a gun. When I was 13-14 every day after school I would walk onto the train tracks and wait for the train to hit me but I always pussied out, there was something in my mind preventing me from doing it, I knew I still had things I needed to do. Looking back I wish I had just gone through with it, I thought during that time it would be the worst it could get, I was wrong, it's only gotten worse since.
