I haven't. Most that happened to me was fainting for about 15 minutes. If death it is like that, then nothingness is a perfect way to describe it.

If you search for NDE (near death experience), you will find all kinds of stories of people who "died" and came back. Some say they saw the truth, angels, devils, etc etc. Personally, I think that is just the human brain going haywire since it is quite literally dying, so people "see" all kinds of weirdness. But maybe I am wrong, and they truly did see things that we can't see while alive. Maybe the truth, or their personal truth, at least.

No one has ever came back from brain death. Therefore has never one came back from true death.

Your point? Pretty sure I put died between quotation marks there, so I am really lost as to why you quoted my posts.

Heart stopping is not actual death because your brain is still on and in your body. No one has ever came back from brain being off.

I'm not sure how close I was from death when I first tried to ctb, but I was fainted for quite some time. Several hours, but I don't know how much as I completely lost sense of everything (when I woke up, I was already in the sanatorium). If it adds, I had tried overdose. But I believe it wasn't enough to being actually close to death. In any case, it was absolute nothingness. Even when I fainted, I didn't feel a single thing. I just laid on my bed (after taking several pills combined with alcoholic drinks) and it happened.

On the other hand, I believe some people have a higher sense towards percieving the 'supernatural'. Some sort of sixth sense. Which I believe explains why some people can feel it when dying, while others don't. It could still simply be a mind trick depending on specific experiences, but I really don't think that's the case. I think it just depends on the person's tendency towards the 'spiritual realm'.

Nope but I tell ya - I'd be pretty pissed if I was brought back. My folks agreed that if ever go into cardiac arrest for some reason, they would let me die before calling the ambulance. Had a huge discussion with them about it a couple months ago.

This is something people have to accept. NDE's are really not proof since the brain is still alive.

For someone to claim that near death experiences are true, an individual would have to completely have their heart and brain die for about an hour or so, then "magically" be resuscitated.

That's science fiction though so.

That is true. I guess for some reason the medical community calls cardiac arrest "death". NDEs are a totally physical phenomenon that can be explained by science and has been recreated in labs. NDEs occurs when the brain is being starved of oxygen. This causes chemicals in the brain to go haywire thus creating a natural "acid trip" before the lights go out.

Funnily enough, I've heard that carbon dioxide can be used as a very potent high. You inhale it and your body thinks it's being starved of oxygen, thus dying so...the brain releases DMT or other hallucinogenic chemicals.

Of course, CO2 inhalation is probably very painful (increased CO2 levels cause feeling of suffocation) and if not done properly can cause brain damage.
